I googled the site's traffic and it went down 60% in a like two days.

Traffic in what sense? Was it unique/new visitors, or repeat visits that went down?

Unique and repeat both went down but repeat has a 60% decrease

Ahh, then my guess would be indeed that school is involved. Unique visitors going down... well, maybe people aren't so thrilled to walk into a salt mine.
