I removed the shoutbox because for several weeks people have been using it to get away with rule violations. I made a thread in the suggestions board about it a while ago, but this recent incident was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Then find a way to restrict Prec from talking on the Shitbox. Dwagon was the only one posting your location. The only feasible way I can think of to restrict Prec would be to restrict all non-staff access to the shoutbox. Aside from that it is literally impossible. Besides, if Prec and Dwagon have the balls to do it when I'm there watching, what the fuck do you guys do when I'm not there to see it? |

Tim, couldn't you make a a group for those banned from the shoutbox? We voted for the shoutbox to stay so it's kind of unfair to remove it anyway despite your reasons.

I recognize that it is, to an extent, unfair, and I seek to reintroduce the shoutbox sometime in the future, but for now, at least until I can come up with a method to ensure that the shoutbox is not an easy way to get around the rules, it shall remain closed. |
