I check them both over, for things like walkie talkies, also for things like keys. I don't want to leave any larger of a fingerprint than I have to. I'll also take their gun if it isn't silenced.

The guards were holding a M4A1 with full amm, they also got keys. Maybe those were the keys for the gate?
Up ahead there is the mansion's front door, but it seems to surrounded by guards.

Yes. I'll keep my backpack, and dress the man up in the dark suit. I'll leave the night vision goggles on him as well. I pick up his gun, then unlock the gate. In the darkness, can I see the other guards?

Good. I assume a stiff position, and begin to patrol the perimeter. As long as they can't clearly see my face, they shouldn't be TOO suspicious. While I patrol, I look for a good place for them to lose sight of me, without being suspicious. From there, I'll be ready.

I climb in, and decide from this point on I'm keeping dressed up as a guard. Might be useful. I peer through the window, trying to see if anyone is inside. Then I check for any locks, or alarms on/around the window.

Lucky there aren't any alarms or guards near the window, but on the other rooms however...

As I fall, I consider how much of an idiot I've had to be for this to happen. Other brief life decisions flash through, but that was the biggest one. I just hope I don't die in some unfortunate way, like hitting my head.

I look at him, still laying there. "I was moving around the perimeter, and tripped. Just keep this between you and I, and drinks will be on me next time." I offer a smile as a I get back off the ground.

As he goes to walk away, I launch at him from behind, trying to take him out before he can alert anyone of the silly guard who fell onto his ass. I decide once I knock him out that I'll take his ID, and any money. Nobody will believe his story after this humiliation.

The guard gets knocked out and you take his ID, but he doesn't has any money. Seriously why would a guard walk around with a wallet on his suit?

I sift through the papers for the stolen documents. I seriously wonder how I'll notice which ones are the stolen ones. Would they be so stupid to keep them in the original envelopes? That is only a hope.

I just climb out the window again, then try to find my way back to the gate. I do my best to keep out of sight, in the off chance that the guards at the gate are already up, and have somehow alerted everyone else.

The guards were alerted, they know that you are inside the mansion. It will be a little hard to leave the mansion unnoticed.
