you're infected, they say. full of some tiny parasitic microcell that changes you, day by day. you weren't always infected, but the days when you're not sick are hazy. blurred. unfamiliar. if asked, you doubt you could remember the names of your immediate family. you've been here for a while, likely, ever since you started showing early symptoms of the disease. and then someone close to you, whether father or brother, sister or mother, they called you in. needless to say, you were taken in, and now you're here. at the faculty who 'treats' you. but as the days pass and your state continues to deteriorate, you're beginning to wonder how much longer you can hold onto yourself. you're not quite human anymore, not quite you.
'just one day more' thats what they tell you. trouble is, how many more days can you last before you lose yourself? better yet, do these scientists truly want to 'cure' you, or is do they have something else in mind.

ah, rules. just, don't get out of hand and be little jackarses. otherwise, i'll correct you if i think something needs to be corrected. i'll be relatively lenient, just keep in mind the basics of godmodding, powerplaying, and metagaming. none of that, 'aight? otherwise, we're a mostly mature bunch of people. this should go well. also, due to blood and stuff, there will be a limited amount of characters in comparison to other species. in rarest of least rarest, this list is as follows; deforme, sangue, charmant, metamorphe.
the disease in question takes the form of a parasite, which, when infecting a host, slowly changes them, both mentally and physically. effects vary depending on what the blood-type is, those symptoms can be sorted into one of four categories. however, changes that are persistent no matter the blood type are the following. one. memory-lose. generally, over the course of weeks and months the infected loses their memories of the past. the stronger ones can hold onto the images for a little while longer, however, they too will eventually relinquish their thoughts. in place, a 'new personality' is developed, affected by their symptoms in addition to what they have experienced at their times within the faculty.* the symptoms are classified in one of four categories; sangsue, metamorphe, deforme, & charmant. the disease is spread through the exchange of bodily fluids, whether saliva, blood, or.. other fluids. much of the infected share a few common traits, expressed through the eyes, nails, and (in most cases) teeth.
most infected have periods of time in which their new personality completely takes over. for the most part, these are destructive minutes. classed a multi-personality disorder, almost, they spells never last long, however, they do span out as time passes.
*any memories gained two months after the infection are kept in most cases. so while the subjects can't remember their family or favorite sports, many can recall the time when one of the laboratory techs knocked them out with a needle. additionally, if subjects have knowledge of a second, or even third language, this information is often retained.
ii. sangsue :: blood type; b
the 'vampires' of the infection, those who a-type blood share a lot of similar characteristics to the fictional bloodsuckers, both physiologically and physically. possibly the most blood-thirsty out of the infected, these creatures infect others by biting them.. and then slurping their blood. because their very mouth is coated with millions of infected saliva, they commonly spread the disease before they were rounded up.

-- increased mass & durability of frontal canines their four teeth can now pierce most objects with ease, including skin. in some cases, wood has been broken.
-- weight loss, less body mass sangue bodily conditions deteriorate. if an infected was one bulky, or more on the heavy-set side, these seemingly flows away. they become abnormally thin, to an extent where their ribs can be seen, no matter what they eat. they features become more angular, with wide eyes, and high-set cheekbones. indeed, they're described as beautiful, albeit monstrous.

-- body temperature regulation sangues are cold to the touch, with icy-cold skin. they never get warm, though when the temperature plummets, they practically freeze.
-- increased physical abilities sangues all have their strength, healing, speed, agility, and durability enhanced far beyond human levels. however, while it is clear that they are the fastest of the bunch, their strength is clearly outmatched when compared to the metamorphe.
-- increased endurance a trait unique to them only, sangues have an increased endurance. with this, they have the incredible ability to run for miles upon end, without feeling the need to slow down.
-- enhanced senses main; vision. other; hearing, touch, smell.

-- holy water touching it gives sangue infected burning, irritating rashes. that's it.
-- sunlight with their paler skin, they are more susceptible to burning easily in the sun.
iii. metamorphe :: blood type; o
where the sangue are vampires, metamorphe are the werewolves. unlike their fictional counterparts, they don't actually change their shapes to match that of wolves. though, symptoms would include increased hair growth. filled with the urge to bite bite bite metamophe could possibly be one of the more dangerous of the infected. they are also the most common, given their blood type. they tend to stick to other metamorphe, and even have a sort of 'pack hierarchy' within the metamorphe residents of the faculty.

-- thicker canines much like the snague, these creature's canines also increase. most notably, they're a bit longer and thicker, though not as sharp as the sangue. on the 'plus' side, they can deliver a crushing force with these teeth, making up for it in brute strength. basically? they can crush skulls if enough pressure is applied.
-- thicker nails self-explanatory. nail growth skyrockets, becoming thicker and more 'paw-like'. while the length stops at two inches, for both fingernails and toes, these large babies deliver a fair force when swiped.
-- eye color change while it isn't much of a difference, a metamorphe's eye color is yellow. pure yellow. they glow in the dark too, which is cool.
-- increased body mass metamorphe are well, sturdier than the sangue and charmant. they bulk up upon becoming infected, with muscles rivaled only by the deforme. when hit, they're compared best to a wall. and yet, despite this, they are shown to be rather flexible.
-- hand, foot growth hands and feet alike become thicker, often expanding a few sizes up to what they previously were.
-- body temperature irregulation metamorphe are hot to the touch, and it always feels as if they're fighting a constant fever. on the plus side, they don't get cold. but warm weather? well, it's insufferable.
-- increased hair growth slightly embarrassing, but metamorphe are a rather furry folk. it seemingly comes from everywhere, and in order to stay 'unfurry' they must shave frequently.
-- increased physical abilities they have enhanced speed, strength, agility, healing, durability all heightened beyond human standards. of the four subtypes, they are perhaps the strongest, with bare hands that are tough enough to rip through bone.
-- increased flexibility a trait unique to them, these infected are incredibly flexible. indeed, they can even run around on all fours as if it was as natural as walking on two. they can stretched to unusual lengths.
-- enhanced senses main; smell. other; hearing, eyesight, taste.

-- silver silver gives them rashes, and to an extent can irritate, or burn the skin.
-- pack instinct loyal to the end, metamorphe are automatically drawn to other metamorphe. they form packs, and like wolves there is a hierarchy. to disobey the alpha is a likely death!
-- meat much like the deforme, metamorphe have the urge to consume a substance. in this case, it is meat.
-- four feet metamorphe have the urge to crawl around on all fours. however, this is easily resistible. however, because of their enhanced flexibility this can be accomplished with ease. indeed, they are faster on fours than on twos.
-- the moon unable to resist the lull of the moon, metamorphes go batshit insane when it's full. from howling to scratching everything up, they can't really control themselves during this time. as a result, they are hidden away within their cells, to avoid any mishaps. the days leading up to the full moon are often tension-filled, as tempers flare. on the plus side, things are calmer around the new moon. indeed, on the new moon metamorphes tend to act almost 'human'. their parasite is dormant during this time, and slows down in the days leading up to the new moon. this means; less hair, their eyes glow less, and silver, wolfsbane, and the urge to bite is lessoned.
iv. deforme :: blood type; ab
aggressive and dominant, deformes are the rarest of those infected by the parasite. but while there may not be many of them, they certainly are noticeable when they are in the room. intense and powerful, deformes often ran rampant before being rounded up, and in some cases, killed. many made a pact with the sangues, as the two shares similar ideals when it came to spreading the disease. well, kinda not really. in a typical formation, deformes follow the 'strongest' of their kind. a new leader is appointed when the old one is defeated in combat.

-- 'horn' growth another factor that varies from infected to infected, bone-like horns erupt from the skulls of the creatures. they rearrange themselves in peculiar patterns, often symmetrical, though not always. at longest, these horns have been around five feet long.
-- thicker nails something that is typical throughout the infected, deforme have huge, sharp nails that could rival a bears. these structures are even stronger than the claws of a metamorphe, though not by much.
-- sharper teeth unlike the metamorphe and sangue, their teeth are a bit.. different. like a sharks, they have four rows of these suckers; top & bottom. which means they have eight sharpened canines instead of four. who knows how they fit into their mouthes.
-- eye change unusual indeed, deforme pupils expand outwards, until the entirety of the eye is a simple, abyss black. they have no pupil, no iris.
-- increased physical abilities deforme have enhanced speed, strength, agility, healing, & durability. their best attribute would perhaps be how durable their skin is, for it can withstand most blows without breaking skin. another quirk? they're fireproof, as they skin cells are more resilient to the forces of nature.
-- increased reflexes deforme have heightened reflexes, and can therefore react, and adapt quickly to most situations.

-- meat deforme only ingest meat, especially raw material. they revel in blood.
-- salt allergic to salt -- they will forcibly back away from areas containing the material. as a result, their food is often cooked separately [or it's raw entirely] from the other creatures of the faculty. to them, salt is much like garlic is to vampires. have some of this stored about, and the deforme won't touch you.
-- bronze bronze irritates their skin, much like silver. however, it is less effective than it. if you're lucky, they'll get a rash.
-- silver burn burn burn, pure silver will stop a deforme in it's tracks, as this material can leave permanent 'burns' on their skin. however, it is only effective on parts not covered in scales.
-- holy water another skin irritant, though it's about as serious as bronze.
iii. charmant :: blood type; a
beautiful and unearthly, charmants are possibly the most confusing of the species. on one hand, they're detached and cold. but on the other hand? they have the irresistible urge to kiss. even in comparison to the sangue, the beauty of these beast is unparalleled. there are a fair amount of charmant, as a is a relatively common type.

-- wing growth like the deforme, charmant also posses wings. however, unlike their other halves, they can actually fly. as their body changes rapidly to hollow out their bones, experienced charmant can take flight, if only for a little while. they wings are like birds -- feathery and soft. they can be any realistic color.
-- long nails a common trait, it seems, charmant have very long nails, almost like talons. in the absence of fangs, they are perhaps one of the more deadly with these, as it is their only form of attack and protection.
-- hollow bones their bones are hollow. yup, like birds. it is because of these that the charmant can fly. on the downside, these bones are incredibly brittle, and can break easily. physically, a charmant is no match for a metamorphe.
-- illumination the only one of the group to posses this, charmants can actually force their body to glow. much like those deep-sea beasties, they can glow at will. it doesn't last long before it has to replenish, however.
-- mesmerizing gaze with a look that is simply hypnotizing, a look form a charmant can easily stop others in their path. direct eye contact with one forces the poor target to be unable to look away. it's a plus, but also a minus, for charmants must hold direct contact. additionally, they can't 'do' anything with this gaze. which means the target just ..stands there. awkward.
-- eye change oh, this is simple. their eyes? no pupil. that black dot just shrinks and shrinks until one day, it isn't there at all. as a result, charmant eye colors tend to be rather vivid and bright.
-- symmetrical features the very essence of beauty, over a stretch of time charmant features rearrange themselves. little-by-little their features line up, until they are symmetrical. charmants typically don't suffer from ache, and have scars. their skin is flawless, and always a healthy color. they are beautiful and unearthly in this aspect.
-- increased physical abilities their speed, strength, agility, healing, and durability are all increased. of them all, their agility is the best. in some instances, they can predict attacks before they happened, and thus use their reflexes to dodge.
-- increased balance a charmant never falls off their feet, typically. they have balance like a cat, and can therefore do most difficult balancing tasks with ease. when they walk, it's almost like gliding.
-- enhanced senses main; touch. other; eyesight, taste, hearing.

-- mellowed, apathetic personalities their personalities dwindle, becoming apathetic and cold over time. they care not for the world around them, and are unfazed by blood, gore, and other things.
-- weak will unfortunately, with their apathetic personalities, charmant do everything their told. while they are the only one of the infected groups not to have a physically allergy, or be rubbed raw with an irritant, they are /forced/ to do whatever those around them say. in some cases they can resist the serious requests, though simple things are easy. it's like the entire world is their protective charge, oddly enough.
-- very sensual despite the fact they are apathetic, charmant have their own unique way of spreading the parasite. they kiss. the longer and harder the better. they spread their germs through saliva, and as a result are crazy sensual when others in the room. while they're not actually 'attracted' to said individuals, the parasite within them feels the urge to spread on it's genes.

iii. charmant :: blood type; a
beautiful and unearthly, charmants are possibly the most confusing of the species. on one hand, they're detached and cold. but on the other hand? they have the irresistible urge to kiss. even in comparison to the sangue, the beauty of these beast is unparalleled. there are a fair amount of charmant, as a is a relatively common type.
physical changes
-- wing growth like the deforme, charmant also posses wings. however, unlike their other halves, they can actually fly. as their body changes rapidly to hollow out their bones, experienced charmant can take flight, if only for a little while. they wings are like birds -- feathery and soft. they can be any realistic color.
-- long nails a common trait, it seems, charmant have very long nails, almost like talons. in the absence of fangs, they are perhaps one of the more deadly with these, as it is their only form of attack and protection.
-- hollow bones their bones are hollow. yup, like birds. it is because of these that the charmant can fly. on the downside, these bones are incredibly brittle, and can break easily. physically, a charmant is no match for a metamorphe.
-- illumination the only one of the group to posses this, charmants can actually force their body to glow. much like those deep-sea beasties, they can glow at will. it doesn't last long before it has to replenish, however.
-- mesmerizing gaze with a look that is simply hypnotizing, a look form a charmant can easily stop others in their path. direct eye contact with one forces the poor target to be unable to look away. it's a plus, but also a minus, for charmants must hold direct contact. additionally, they can't 'do' anything with this gaze. which means the target just ..stands there. awkward.
-- eye change oh, this is simple. their eyes? no pupil. that black dot just shrinks and shrinks until one day, it isn't there at all. as a result, charmant eye colors tend to be rather vivid and bright.
-- symmetrical features the very essence of beauty, over a stretch of time charmant features rearrange themselves. little-by-little their features line up, until they are symmetrical. charmants typically don't suffer from ache, and have scars. their skin is flawless, and always a healthy color. they are beautiful and unearthly in this aspect.
-- increased physical abilities their speed, strength, agility, healing, and durability are all increased. of them all, their agility is the best. in some instances, they can predict attacks before they happened, and thus use their reflexes to dodge.
-- increased balance a charmant never falls off their feet, typically. they have balance like a cat, and can therefore do most difficult balancing tasks with ease. when they walk, it's almost like gliding.
-- enhanced senses main; touch. other; eyesight, taste, hearing.
physiological changes
-- mellowed, apathetic personalities their personalities dwindle, becoming apathetic and cold over time. they care not for the world around them, and are unfazed by blood, gore, and other things.
-- weak will unfortunately, with their apathetic personalities, charmant do everything their told. while they are the only one of the infected groups not to have a physically allergy, or be rubbed raw with an irritant, they are /forced/ to do whatever those around them say. in some cases they can resist the serious requests, though simple things are easy. it's like the entire world is their protective charge, oddly enough.
-- very sensual despite the fact they are apathetic, charmant have their own unique way of spreading the parasite. they kiss. the longer and harder the better. they spread their germs through saliva, and as a result are crazy sensual when others in the room. while they're not actually 'attracted' to said individuals, the parasite within them feels the urge to spread on it's genes.
iv. carriers :: all blood types
xxxxthe rarest of them all, carriers are infected who carry some physical traits of their blood type subspecies, but are unaffected physiologically. an example of this would be a deforme carrier who has half-grown wings, but isn't filled with bloodlust. unlike the others, carriers do no suffer from multi-personality disorder, and retain their memories of their half life. unfortunately, they're practically human, save a few physical mutations such as nails, or odd pupils. additionally, they are occasionally seen as humans, and therefore attacked by those whose traits they bear. relatively rare. at the faculty, they too, are treated for the parasite. and despite everything, they can still spread it through their saliva, blood, and other fluids.
the overall structure of the building is box-like in appearance. it has a map that is structured simply, with mostly everything that the infected could ask for. infected are allowed free access on floor three, however are restricted from entering floors one and four. on floor two, they are often accompanied by a scientist, or heavily dosed. to travel between the floors, there are staircases and elevators.
floor one enormous and massive, the facility is large. there is a variety of areas contained within. to put it simply, it has the basics, and yet so much more. floor one houses the scientists. stocked with luscious apartments, and including a library, gym, swimming pool, it is an ideal home for those who live in comfort. additionally, there is a cafeteria and a 'game' room. offices and other files are also included here.
floor two floor two is where the labs are. there are three in total, each with a different department. the cure project takes up the majority of the proportions, and therefore has the largest lab. the birthplace of many treatment, there are so many different technologies housed. the second largest lab specialized with the study of the parasite. it is equipped with mostly machinery. last but not least, the third lab. where all the data is stored. it's the smallest, to say the least. beyond this, the holding cells are on this level, and the generator is located here.
floor three otherwise known as the 'infected' floor, this is where infected spent their time, when they weren't subjected to tests on floor two. there is a variety of comforts, treating the submissive infected well. there are more than ten training rooms, each equipped with different equipment. some have simulations, and others are bio-engineered habitats to test infected reactions. further along the hall is a series of locked rooms, which have never been opened. the rooms are furnished well for the compliant, and sparsely for the others. another cafeteria is located on this level, for the infected. there are few mingling areas, such as the boxy gym.
