But I finally managed to conquer all of Ireland in Crusader Kings II! And with a single character, nonetheless! Sure, I guess that technically I didn't conquer all of Ireland, only enough of it to rule it by De Jure, and I guess it's not technically Ireland either but rather the game uses the Irish language name for it, Éirie, but it's still quite an accomplishment.
And because I know that some of you are going to ask for the specifics, I have no expansion packs and I started on the default day that it sets you as if you select High Middle Ages (sometime in the year 1066) as the Petty King of Mumu. I conquered the 7th and last required county in the year 1098 and managed to afford the De Jure title the following year. (I was unable to afford it immediately because I decided to create a new barony completely from scratch just a few years eralier). With the same character my game is currently in the year 1100 and my character is 73 years old, outliving quite a number of his children (who died of natural causes and old age, by the way) and my character is a great-grandfather.
