Siege of Korholz By: The Guru
As the slip of light from the sun's rays beckoning dawn forth, Titus of the Atwood Family awoke from his midnight slumber. As he sat up on the side of his bed, he grabbed a leaf of mint from a drawer in his nightstand and ground it against a rock. He jammed two of his fingers into a small clay bowl filled with aloe gel and smeared the mint into the gel and began to rub his teeth. After he was finished, he gurgled some wine and spit it out the window by his bed. As he dropped his silk tunic and trousers, he dressed in his usual garments of a crown with a triangular head consisting of three emeralds in different sizes with a suit of chainmail and then a red robe with the Atwood sigil running down it. On either side would be white wool spotted with dark wool. As he descended into the main hall to sit at his throne next to his father, King Sigmor of Izisk Keep. It is the main producer of firearms, rockets, and grenades in the Northern Forstwall Province of Bolisav. As he began to gently walk towards the stairwell leading down into the main hall, from the railing, he spotted a hooded man with green and dark red studded armor, wielding a Luger. It had to have been an assassin. "Father! Assassin!" Titus called out only to be seen his father, shot in the chest laying limp on his bloody throne. The guards scrambled to capture the assassin alive, but the assassin slipped and fell in his nervous escape on a rock that was in the small moat surrounding the castle.
Rushing downstairs, Titus took to cradling his father's upper torso in his arms, making them stained with the red blood of his deceased father. The tears of a boy as he wails out, mourning his father is a sound you will never forget. Titus had become enraged. He demanded to inspect the body of the assassin personally. Upon inspection, did he find the sigil of the Polemion Alliance. A collection of small clans that resided in the Sharot mountain range. They had been jealous of the Atwood family due to their surplus of wealth and weaponry.

Too early to know if I like it completely, but the beginning is good so I would say continue.

99% of the time it's like classic stereotypical medieval and then there's the 1% where you're like "firearms and rockets and shit".
make up your mind on what you're writing, it makes no sense.

I never said that this was set in the Medieval Era. They still had castles and such during the 1700's. Although I do understand the confusion about the firearms and projectiles and such due to the cover. Although, I couldn't find a good one that quite fits my description.
And actually, this is my first medieval story that I've posted on here. The rest are mostly modern aside from the one about Pompeii.
AND EVEN MORE, the Medieval era was from 400 C.E. to 1,400 C.E. Incendiary grenades were created by the Byzantine Empire could also be spread from ceramic jars. And by the 900's, the concept of the hand grenade reached China. Rockets were first recorded in 1232 against the Mongol hordes by the Chinese. Rifles were made in the 16th century (1,501-1,600). The Medieval era did end three centuries prior but it also would involve the evolution of rocketry and hand grenades. Plus they would still continue to use castles. Although the "Luger" part may have come off as confusing due to the invention of the Luger came in the late 19th century. I suppose it's more appropriate to have said a flintlock pistol or something along those lines.
Plus this is set on a world that is not Earth meaning that the evolution of weaponry to guns could've been much faster than the humans from Earth.

The Luger literally has no place in the story. If you're going to do an alternate reality where Earth doesn't exist, then you shouldn't use Earth-specific things, such as specific firearms, especially when everything else in the reality is an undefined amount of centuries behind the actual invention of the firearm. With the Luger in the story, it makes it safe to infer the world is both in this reality and it is later than the year 1908. With both of those things false, you've created plenty of confusion and you shouldn't have even considered the Luger P.08 as an option, no matter how "early" of a self-loading pistol it is. The early firearms you say were from the 16th century (which was actually 1501-1600, mind you) didn't have brass casings and lead projectiles with smokeless powder, like the Luger did, they had lead balls and black power, no casing. The Luger is what led me to believe the "firearms, rockets, and grenades" were from a time other than the undefined point in a thousand years you base your story on, and suggested technology was at a different point than you claim it is. Along with that, you don't seem to read over your posts, because you literally said "I never said this was set in the Medieval Era", then two sentences later say "this is my first medieval story that I've posted on here", which, is most probably the reason there is any confusion about this in the first place.

You bring up a good opposition. I do agree that maybe I should've just, at least, have said that it was shaped like a Luger which I was initially getting at.
