Wait, how big are these lizards? Could they seriously pose a threat to us if we just came in and mined the gold anyway?
Isolate the newly queen-birthed swarmers from the rest of the general population and make sure they receive a proper upbringing and training to obey their master's will. We have to stop the contagion at its source.

The biggest one ( the one threating you ) is two feet long, the rest are one foot and a half.
They're nearly invisible on gold enclaves

Fine. Just use one of the magic crystals to make all the lizards on this gold island dead. Nothing's stopping us from getting all that gold.

Huh. Good idea, guess we'll build a great temple to the golden god on that island and then cover it with some of the gold we collected, to let him know that we are sorry for killing his servants and do not wish to offend.
Did the satellite find any new and exciting islands?

Build more satellites and send them into atmosphere. Looking for islands from high above should just be a matter of spotting a landmass, however small, and zooming in to see what it is. Much quicker than searching by boat at least.
