I guess it can. I've noticed that it's one of those ridiculously trivial things that nobody, not even my teacher (who teaches all subjects including English) gives a damn about, though, so I may have been learning a moderately incorrect usage for it due to nobody caring enough about the who/whom distinction to spend more than an hour a few years ago explaining it. Hm. Yeah, I was told once in school and forgot about it. Kinda dumb; it actually does matter, I think. Of course, it's fun to pretend that things matter so that you can always be correct even on irrelevant matters, but.... I completely agree with everything there. |

I think corporal punishment is still legal in Tennessee.
It doesn't happen much, but I think some kids still get spankings.

They're definitely pretty lax with it here. |
