The campfire's crackle was the only thing that provided sound at the campsite. Albeit low and quiet, it still provided warmth for the USMC marines of Red Viper. At least they had Beef Ravioli MREs. Corporal Barney began to consume his Pop-Tart before continuing on to cleaning his silencer on his M27. Suddenly the column next to Barney's head exploded. "We're taking snaps!" Barney yelled as he took cover behind a partially destroyed brick wall. He first just pointed his M27 around the corner and held down the trigger. When his clip ran out, he leaned and began to use his holographic sight. One... two... three... three Tangos down. "Call Command!" Barney yelled to the radioman. Scrambling to get set up, an Egyptian soldier peeked around to only be shot by 9x91mm to the face.
Approaching quickly, more Egyptian soldiers came from the north. They were in a one-story hotel that had been destroyed by a drone strike. Yeah, the U.S. moved in on Egypt after separatists had successfully weakened Egypt to such an extent that the U.S. was ready to swoop in for the kill. The main reason why the Man wanted to annex Egypt is due to it's oil produce. Well, at least that's what WikiLeaks said. They sent in the marines to do the job with the occasional airstrike. Otherwise, the Siege on Cairo had been going well for the past week.
Finally, the radioman connected to Command. "Command! We have Gyps coming left and right! We need air support!" the radioman told the sergeant on the other end. Nodding, the radioman closed communications and stated that two AH-1Z Vipers were en route to their location. As the radioman began to crawl over to cover, a sniper round nailed him in the head. Blood splattered across the dust-covered walls. Slowly, his eyes rolled back in his head as he slumped against the wall. "Parks!" Corporal Barney shouted, immediately loading his M203 with a grenade and shooting off into the distance, killing two Egyptian soldiers. He rushed over to Parks' corpse and grasped his dog-tags. He cradled him in his arms as the other soldiers continued to fend off the oncoming hordes of Egyptian soldiers.
