I think the proper term for Enemy Within would be Expansion. It's built off the same game engine, but with more features added.
And duck, bring KOTOR into the fold. Both games are awesome.

The ripoffs of it might be shitty (LOOKING AT YOU, STARFORGE. PLZBANME COME AT ME), but I'd have to say Minecraft because it got so popular that it deserves to e at least nominated for the title.
