The Arena

Every swing of a sword sent a chill up the spectators' spines as they watched the two warriors fight, not concerned about why they would be fighting, whether it be because they were a general who was defeated in battle or a willing volunteer. All they knew was that they had an appetite for blood and gore, carrying a lust that would not be fulfilled until one of the two gladiators lay dead on the ground, blood spilling from a wound. Weapons of all sorts were permitted - be it magical scepters or war hammers, even golems if one were able to get their hands on them. People from across the land would come, gambling over which of the fighters would be living and breathing, standing at the corpse of his late opponent.
You are a gladiator, whether forced to fight or willingly allowing yourself to be pushed into an arena where the chances of one's survival is slim. No matter your story, however, one thing is for sure - the crowds were thirsty for blood, and you are at constant risk of it being yours splattered on the ground next.

Name: Diana Suspon

Appearance: A woman of what we would call Asian descent, with a flat nose and tanned skin, both of natural skin color and from the sun. She stands at just above five and a half feet, her limbs are slender but strong. She usually wears leather armor and light boots. A bandana covers the bottom half of her face, leaving her eyes fully open, but mouth safe from dust and small debri.
Biography: She was born into a hunter-gather society, and she spent the early part of her life working the fields, and, well, gathering. Her father trained her physically, and, much to the village's chagrin, how to shoot with a bow and learn to kill. She was a natural talent, and her father kept pushing her skills. Eventually she was allowed on the hunt. Many years later, her father passed away a natural death. When she was 27, a group of slave traders found her village. A brief battle ensued, but the traders eventually conquered her village.

She wouldn't let that stop her skills, however. As she was forced to travel great distances, she secretly met with strange men and women across the lands. She learned the art of enchanment, and now, with the right supplies, her arrows can have powerful side effects.

Diana

She woke with a start. Her hand flashed to her dagger and she scanned the dark room. Nothing. Just distant footsteps to people she might never see. She wouldn't dare remove her armor and switch into more comfortable clothes. Not in a place like this. That little bit of armor could save her from a surprise attack from some of the loons in this place. Sitting in the darkness, wondering what her fate would be in her first battle, Diana attempted to relax a little bit.

It didn't work.
