(Sorry everything is so short, I was more hoping to give YOU people a chance to flex your creative muscles)
1. Setting
Sund is a planet notable for many things: an abundance of resources, odd wildlife, diverse forms of sentient beings, and a high concentration of strange energies that its inhabitants have collectively dubbed “magic”. It may very well be one of the most interesting places in the entire galaxy.
I. The World - Sund has four continents, each separated by large gulfs of ocean and the twin World-Snakes. The World-Snakes are two serpents that encircle the globe with their tails in their mouths. They cross at two points, dividing the world into quadrants and preventing inter-continental travel because of their constant thrashing. More on the continents later. It is about the size of Earth, with a similarly-composed atmosphere.
II. The Moon - Sund has a singular moon, about the size of Earth’s but with an atmosphere and flora and fauna of its own. It is a planet of entirely plants and herbivores, not a single predatory species to be found. There are ancient writings, dating back to the first civilizations on Sund, about wise sages’ forays there and beyond. It is often said that the various forms of cattle, goats, and pigs on Sund come from these early expeditions. The magic required for travel there has long been lost. Perhaps it can be rediscovered? Or maybe space travel by other means can be found?
II. The Continents - The four continents are as follows: Agoston (a lush and fertile land of numerous river valleys and forests by the coast, with plains and mountains dotting the interior. The islands, as they approach the east, are thick with jungle and tribes. Towards the south is one of the poles. Agoston is also the continent everyone will start on). The other three continents are known as Caligosus, Plumae, and Delabor (they will be described further as they are re-discovered) in the writings of the ancient magicians.
2. Rules
I. Your civilization be any kind of creature you can remember / invent. Try not to make it TOO overpowered.
II. If you don’t think you can come up with a completely original species concept, you could always use the old standbys (humans, elves, dwarves, drow, troll, orcs, etc.) and add your own spin to them.
III. Everyone starts out with medieval-level technology or less. No futuristic/modern-esque things like guns and stuff, okay? I might be able to be convinced to make an exception for things like flintlocks, but only if your CS is good enough.
IV. The RP will end when a civilization colonizes another planet. Then, a new thread will start. You can reach the moon or another planet by any way you wish, magic or technology or something that doesn’t fit neatly into those two categories.
V. Magic and science are not mutually exclusive. You can go full magic, full tech, have spaceships powered by the arcane or laser guns that simply focus magic. Any combination of sorcery and machinery you can think of! But you have to work for it.
VI. YOU HAVE TO START ON AGOSTON. Here’s a map of the place:
Open MS paint or Gimp or whatever, draw a small border (if you’re a nation) or make a dot (if you’re a city-state/tribe/independent village)
VII. I’m the Admin, and what I say goes. I might appoint others for the position, they handle it with me on equal footing. That is to say, what they say goes as well.
VIII. If you’re wondering why the Rules are so long but the background information is so short, it’s because I want YOU and everyone that participates to write this COLLECTIVELY. In order for this to succeed, there has to be rules in place. Just think of me and the other admins as “editors” for a collaborative writing project.
IX. Don’t godmod/disrespect players or admins. All the other typical RP rules apply.
X. Have fun! I just want everyone to have fun. The rules and stuff are just in place to prevent people from ruining each other’s fun.
And now, without further ado, I present the CS:
