Today, a supernatural phenomenon occurred in the English Channel. Three Prometheus Militia Zeppelins were sent to the scene as a large beam of light bursted forth from the ground with a magenta hue. Supposedly it was three hours before anything happened. An apparent ripple surrounded the beam as the waves began to intensify and clash against the beam as if it was a solid entity. Suddenly, the water became steam as it created a large cloud. Eventually, all of the water between England and France had evaporated. The first thing to come from the beam was ten dragons. Yes, dragons. It could be seen as the dragons breathed fire and exploded the Zeppelins, with only one of the dragons being shot down and plummeting in a spiral to its death. Finally, large amounts of people who look like humans and then strange creatures. They somehow sent forth a bridge of pure energy coming from their place in the middle of the English Channel to the Isle of Wight towards England. Their currently known position is Niton, where they've encased it with a bubble and it cannot be penetrated by our technology. It's currently under siege.
Story:
On March 16, 1860, a portal from an unknown world opened up in the world known as Earth to the human race and known by the foreigners as Corvi. For hundreds of years, the foreigners knew of Earth and had been releasing criminals and atrocities against society into their world. Now, after a decade-long war with the Dark Essentials, they have fled to Earth and are on a campaign to control the planet and recreate their past utopia. They decided to resurface by two landforms, England, and France. At the time, under the ruling of Queen Victoria of England and Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, also known as Napoleon III. About a decade ago, Queen Victoria's people had a random surge in technology with the great coming of the scientist who done it all; Reuben Wood. Many of futuristic things like tanks, automatic rifles, medicine, and even planes were added to England's arsenal. Although, with the coming and act of war with these otherworldly, mythical creatures, she must use her advanced technology against the magic and primitive weaponry of the enemy and France has to catch up and help before France is attacked, too!
Other Details:
The newcomers brought approximately one-hundred million new specimens into the world.
The role-play doesn't rely heavily on magic, but it is quite an apparent and frequent attribute within the story and in combat.
I am allowing to create your own mythical creature so long as it's not entirely overpowered and it would fit in with a fantasy world. This is optional, although a sheet will be provided with the other sign-up things.
