(This is a repost from the Roblox forums. It was something I did a while back, and nobody replied to it except me. Don't take this thing TOO seriously, just think of it as an exercise or game. Anyways, except for these parentheses here, this is unmodified. Enjoy.)
So basically, I've come across mentions of Tengriism in several videogames, and decided to do some googling. It struck me in a funny way, and it's basically become the new topic of my "researches". So I decided to make a jump-in RP taking some aspects from Tengriism and spinning it into something else entirely. Here are some Ground rules:
1. No contradicting what other people write.
2. Please, try to introduce yourself during an opportune time
3. Do not be rude to each other when you're talking in OOC.
4.I'm thinking of doing a thing where you have to PM me for approval before you post something. I'd like to try it the usual way first, though. A lot less hassle involved
Anyways, without further ado, I present this thing! Enjoy!)
It had been awhile the last I had spoken to the Eternal Blue Sky (20 years, about. Sometime before the "Khristosmoby"), and the time had come for "the prodigal son to return" (to borrow an idiom from the Christians). Oh, and how prodigal I had been! But that was all in the past, and the time had come to make amends, perhaps even revitalize my people. So I made the attempt. I danced the old dances, beat the old drums, and performed the old rites. At last, when I had begun to collapse from fatigue, I could feel myself floating, gently soaring upwards, to the fifth heaven, deep in the bosom of the Eternal Blue Sky.
Unlike the previous times I had communed with Him, there were no spirit animals to be found. All I could see (Up, down, forwards, backwards, left, and right) was fog, white as bone and colder than the coldest winter. I stared down at my feet, shivering until a voice, infinitely serene and without a hint of command, bade me to look up. The fog parted, allowing for a pink beam of light to strike me square in the forehead. And then, the cold abated. The coming days and my part in them were made manifest to me.
Er Kishi was to have free reign over the Earth. All mankind was wicked and going to be slaughtered unless I acted, and acted quickly. I was to build a craft, an “ark” to use the term found in the Jewish legend. By means of this craft, Tengri was to envelop us and bring us far above the seventh Heaven. Once there, he was to create a new world for us to inhabit. On our journey, we were also going to receive periodic updates of the situation on Earth and the progress of our journey.
When the day came, I was prepared. I had prepared a dirigible, a greatly increased in scale copy of the kind traditionally used by our people for hunting and warfare. Built with help from animals of the plains, it was able to house twenty-thousand people.
When the time was nigh, my followers (all of them) boarded the ship in a solemn procession, singing dirges for Earth-Spirit. As we all filed in below deck, and felt the ship take off, we wept bitterly for the loss of the world.
Sometime after our departure, I met with my chief advisors. We began by enumerating and naming the people attending.
