Okay, technically it's a class project. But my 'wife' and I are purchasing a house together. Even better, our surname is my last name. [She lost to rock, paper, scissors.] In the simulation-thing, both of us have jobs. She's a senior software engineer, and I'm a musician. We're buying a house in Germany.

Life simulation; house/salary, etc. It's for my financial class. I just announced to the teacher that we were married as an added perk.

Are you the first married couple in your class? Or did other people notice the tax benefits and the reduced rent for having a permanent roommate (my apologies for my highly Machiavellian views of marriage, but tax benefits is essentially all that my parents 'marriage' applies to nowadays) and decide to get married as well?
