I'm taking Gothic/ horror literature this semester, and my love for reading has been revived. So, once I get done with this class, I want to read more books and keep a streak going.
So, do you guys have any book recommendations? I like the horror genre and 18th/19th century/ classical literature, but I'm definitely open to other genres. My favorite book is The Awakening by Kate Chopin, so if you have anything similar to that, that'd be cool too.

19th century horror? I've mostly just read the most well-known ones - I have an Edgar Allan Poe collection, I've read Dracula by Bram Stoker, Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, Jeckyll & Hyde by Robert Stevenson, and that's it. That said, they're all good books.

So for a long time I grew to dislike reading, partially because of my untreated adhd and partially the US education system, but the year I've managed to read a little, and I've definitely grown to like CS Lewis personally. His book A Grief Observed was a short but emotional read for me, well worth it.
