(Attack Roll! (Poor))
Your rapier pierces the side of the man.
The Crestrisen takes his sword out and retaliates.
(Attack Roll! (Decent))
His sword leaves a cut on your left arm.
Fraseco reaches your sword and attempts to finish the enemy off.
(Attack Roll! (Decent))
His sword cuts the enemy's throat, killing him.
"Lester!" one of the Crestrisen shouts before he reaches your location. "Keep on going, we'll cover you!"
Lester turns around and nods as he continues what he's doing, trying to ignore the fighting going on.
The man who shouted out to Lester and one other Crestrisen reach you and Fraseco. The remaining three Crestrisens take on your three other allies, with the swordsman on his own against one and the spearman and the guard taking on another two, or namely the spear man is protecting the guard who doesn't seem to have as much skill as the rest.

Maybe Fraseco will end up being useful after all. Either way, I need to stop Lester from doing whatever it is that he's doing. I Overpower one of the men in front of Fraseco and I, hope that Fraseco fights the other and try to charge at Lester after that.

([OVERPOWER])
(Attack Roll! (Good) + Command Bonus)
The opponent is surprised as all of a sudden you go into overdrive lunging at him from all different angles with piercing attacks from your sword coming at your foe one after the other. He is unable to keep up as you pierce his internal organs and leave him lying on the ground as he bleeds to death.
Fraseco tries to get the beat on the enemy, but having been caught on guard by your display of skill, the enemy gets a hit in first
(Attack Roll! (Excellent))
The enemy does a well-made slash across Fraseco's chest. Your insubordinate subordinate's still standing, but not he's not gonna for much longer. However, he still tries to make his attack.
(Attack Roll! (Good))
Fraseco cuts into his opponent's lower torso with just as good of a wound as his opponent left on him. At this point it's a matter of who strikes first.
Not that you have time to think about it since the enemy fighting the swordsman wins out and starts to join those of his allies who are attacking you two. Thankfully, it seems that at least the other two are smart if not as skilled as the rest of you and have been able to hold a defensive battle of endurance by taking position in a corner and using the spear of one of the two to keep his two opponents at a distance.
(So, fun fact, I almost wrote Moralize instead of Overpower by accident, but hey, it was a pleasant accident. It got me curious to try the name in all caps and it worked. Made it look more dramatic. Good for a trump card kind of attack)

As you ran over the man who fought the swordsman intercepts you and launchs an attack at you from your flank.
(Attack Roll! (Decent!))
His sword doesn't cut deep but it still cuts your side and forces your charge into a halt.
The man fighting Fraseco tries to attack but Fraseco feints and launches a counter
(Attack Roll! (Good!))
His sword lands a finishing blow on his opponent, as evidenced by the fact that the Crestrisen dropped dead.
A blinding light comes out of the cracks of the coffin. The man who now stands in front of you shouts out, "I got your back here, Lester, finish it!"

You try to move to the side, but the Crestrisen, given your close proximity to each other, doesn't really have much difficulty intercepting you.
(Attack Roll! (Poor))
He bodyslams you, knocking you back and onto the floor where you can hear the sound of something cracking. Likely your skull, considering that your consciousness starts to go in and out of your body.
[Defeat]
(If you're wondering, you previously took two decents which are two each, but you also got a damage counter for walking into that trap at the room's entrance. At that point any attack would've been enough to place the sixth damage counter you needed)
As everything starts to become cloudy and difficult for you to understand, the light grows brighter and brighter.
And then with a loud "BAM!" sound, the coffin's lid flies off.
And then nothing.
"Lester, did it work?" the man who knocked you down, or at least you think, everything's become all muddled inside of your head right now, asks.
"I dunno, no one's ever done this before! We were lucky enough to get the instructions for how we go about this as it is. All I see is a hole of sorts."
A slight grumbling sound is heard.
"Uh... Les-"
All of a sudden, root-like things surge out of the coffin. They cover the room as you see an amber glow coming out of them.
"What the he-!?"
Lester would never finish his final words, since the roots wrapped around him and dragged him inside of the mass where the amber glow lied. All you can hear is the crunching of bones and flesh until at last it all stops, and the roots open.
What came out looked like a human woman. She stood at a height where you could say her chin would be at the height of your shoulder blades, and she had long hair reaching down to her waist. Her body was a natural hourglass figure, and her face was calming to look at somehow.
However, her skin was a shade of green the color of grass in a meadow, and her hair was a dull black. Her pupils had multiple colors, reminding you of a bouquet of flowers. And when you, when you truly looked, there were certain things, the shape of her wrists, the size of her ears, small minute details that looking like how they did on Lester's body. If it wasn't for the impossible colors you could assume that she was Lester's sister.
She walks forward without hesitation, and with every step the roots move as if to keep her away from the blood and corpses of the fight that just went on. She looked around and then sees you.
"Uh, excuse me, that one's bleeding. And dying."
"Pardon me?" The Crestrisen who left you in this state asks.
"Don't get me wrong! I understand that you're all fighting, but don't kill each other!" she asserts angrily, as if blatantly ignoring the fact that she come out of where some man was dragged into. The Crestrisen looked at her like she was an idiot.
Regardless, she walks towards you.
"Are you alright there?" she smiles casually.

She smiles.
"What a polite human! It's so nostalgic," she replies with a face that obviously shows her taking her time to reminisce things long since gone. "Well, since you were nice enough to ask, I'll tell. My name is Gen Saeyi. Who are you?"
As the woman casually evokes the name of the Wyldun known as the Verdant Mother, the Crestrisen grins and roars, "We've won!"
Gen Saeyi quickly raises a brow towards this.
"'We've won?' I've never thought I'd hear of a day that Feralclaw rejoices my return. My, it only feels like yesterday that you were all fighting to the death to put me to sleep."
"Feralclaw? Hah!" Fraseco, barely alive himself, spits out. "They're enemies from Crestrise!"
"Crestrise?"
"Indeed, great Gen Saeyi! I'm from-"
"Bad boy!"
The Crestrisen is all of a sudden wrapped by the roots and brought before Gen Saeyi.
"If there's anything I've learned from humans, it's that lying means that you're being a naughty child!" she glares.
"Lying?"
"You look like Feralclaw, you sound like Feralclaw, you smell like Feralclaw. I don't know what this 'Crestrisen' is but from where I stand you're not 'Crestrisen' in the slightest! Hey, good boy," she says, turning to you. "What is 'Crestrisen?' If it's what I think, I may need to punish this naughty child for being a liar."

Your hand wraps around your sword as you charge forward with the last of your strength and impale her internal organs.
Or so you thought as your sword only goes inch-deep in what feels like wood and is in stuck there.
Gen Saeyi gives a shocked expression before beginning to fume a little bit.
"I asked you a question! What a pity, I thought you were actually one of the respectable humans!" she growls angrily. "That's it! Everyone here is a rotten child!"
The roots move to coil around you, the guards, Fraseco and the Crestrisen as Gen Saeyi takes out the sword from her stomach. You think you see what seems to be sap pour out of the wound a little but all in all you just gave her a small scratch.

(Bout damn time I continued this thing)
The only other men aside from the near-dead Fraseco are the two guards who are trapped in the corner. Unless you wish to count the man Bayod are leading at the entrance of the Shrine.
Actually, it stands to reason that you've got more enemies than allies, and not only are they in a position to chase after you, but Bayod's fighting them at the entrance, so that's blocked as well.

"Run!" I order them. "If there are back exits, hidden tunnels, anything - get out and report what's happened here!" Then I try to struggle against the roots that are likely now entangling me, trying to punch Gen Saeyi in the face if I can.

The two guards try to escape, but unfortunately they were already trapped in the corner by enemies to begin with. In moments they along with you are entangle.
Fraseco gets up despite his wounds and tries to run there, but passes out, likely due to blood loss, and is trapped in the same scenario as the rest of you.
Gen Saeyi looks at you while you struggle to attack in spite of your current situation with a critical glance.
"I suppose humans were always admired for their ability to persist," she casually mutters. "Oh well, I need time to think about how to discipline you. Let us take this outside for now and see what you folk of Feralclaw have been doing in the mean time."
She moves but not with steps, but rather by extending the root she stands on. All of a sudden, you and all the men, both enemy and ally, who are entangled follow with her at a speed comparable to an airship as she navigates the halls of the Shrine. It occurs to you that she's about to reach the entrance where Bayod's at.

"Run! It's Gen Saeyi!" I shout, hopefully when I'm close enough to Bayod and his men for them to hear me. If just one person can escape and get word to the emperor, maybe he'll be able to do something about this. It's our best shot, at any rate.

"Run? From me? How queer. I've always thought of myself as an amiable being," Gen Saeyi mutters, clearly a little disappointed from your words. "Really, I remember the days when I lived near that one town, what was it again? Keral, I believe. Well, it's pointless to remember, it existed well before we were called to give guidance to your kind, although you called it a war of all things. Anyways..."
She then begins to describe, in quite vivid detail, her memories of playing with the village children and even feasting with the villagers. It'd have been heartwarming, if you weren't bleeding outside of your head, entangled in vines and the focus of her incoming and undetermined disciplinary action.
Gen Saeyi, still dragging your companions and enemies with the two of you, enters the entrance way where you find a battlefield heating up. All over are enemy Crestfallen, and the members of your crew who you left to assist Captain Bayod have suffered casualties. The battle was concentrated at the secret entrances around the wall, as if the enemy knew where they were, but considering how Lester had turned traitor it wouldn't be particularly surprising if that was the case. Bayod, who looked over at the sound of your voice, stood agape at the sight of Gen Saeyi as she continued to tell her stories.
"...and there was this one girl named Lily. Such a sweet thing. She loved to make flower crowns for me, but even moreso loved to get one in return. I remember this one time when I made a brand new flower, just for her and even named it for her. The smile she had was the most pre... What is going on here!?" Gen Saeyi exclaims as she sees the carnage in the room.
"Do you fools always have to resort to violence like this?" she inquires of you as she sighs in disappointment, all while manipulating the roots to entangle the men inside the entrance way. Most start to run off, but Bayod actually tried to fight against it. He was caught very quickly.

Bayod stared at you like an idiot.
"That, Admiral, was the one thing I least expected to hear, but I can't tell if Fraseco being useful or that one of my men had gone turncoat is the more shocking detail."
"Grrr," Gen Saeyi begins to growl, slightly annoyed. "What have I been telling you idiot humans? 'Crestrisen!' 'Crestrisen!' 'Crestrisen!' There's not a single one here! To begin with, just what is a 'Crestrisen?'"
"And you are...?"
"Gen Saeyi, who else?"
Bayod turns pale as he glances at you.

She blinks at you with a bit of an awkward smile.
"Such a negative person. To begin with, why would I wanna kill you? Last I checked, even when a human wronged another they only threw the harmful one in prison. Execution, you see, was only done for serious crimes."
"But you Wylduns declared war on us!" Bayod points out.
"No, we just told you to cease civilization. Not really hard, just act all tribal like you did back in the day. You people were the ones who declared it was a war on your own."
"You claim it so friendly-like but the stories of the atrocities committed in that war still reach our ears centuries afterwards."
"Centuries? I've been here that long? Felt like just a long nap for me. Regardless, yea, some of the others may have gone a little wild, and sure if you were to encounter some of the others like the one you call Thas Naero or even worse, Fon Maloi, you would've been killed immediately. But no. I simply realize the truth is that you people are children who've gone astray. Would you kill a child who doesn't even know that they've done wrong?"

You're wounded, your head is bleeding and you're probably concussed, not to mention that the vines are gripping you pretty tightly, and judging from how the bear- Ahem, Captain Bayod isn't able to free himself from the vines with his strength, you probably won't with your considerably less bear-like... more human... Err, comparatively flimsier body.
Gen Saeyi finally takes you and many others who are all tangled up to outside the shrine, where she looks out at Saffur.
"My, my. I thought it was bad before I went to sleep, but what have you all been doing? Just what is that!?" she exclaims, pointing at your ship flying high in the air.
