I think it's mostly just slow registering or something of the sort. When AGE was halfway active with Happy, I was constantly bouncing around threads to update them, during which there were supposedly 30-something guests in the subforum at one point... I refuse to believe that.
I think if you open 8 tabs, it counts as 1 member and 7 guests, for example.

I went to the main page and opened 5 separate tabs and then, without opening them, I refreshed the page. It read the following: 1 Staff, 1 Member, 1 Guest I then proceeded to open all 5 and afterwards refreshed the main page again. Here's what happened: 1 Staff, 1 Member, 2 Guests |

I still refuse to believe the numbers I saw, especially since thread views would hardly move, if at all.
I dunno what, but something's fucky with the guest numbers, I almost guarantee it.

When I click on the button to view their IP addresses, I get various unique IPs. I haven't looked to see where the guests are located, but all the IPs tend to be very different.

I think you understated that a bit. Happy was a complete shit for nearly the whole time he was here, both when he had his account and when he didn't. I used to think he was alright, but now his very presence just gets on my nerves.

Eh, I've always felt a little sympathetic for him, I suppose. I can completely understand feeling irrationally angry at really stupid shit and even snapping at innocent people for it, but I always end up feeling remorse for whatever I say/do. Which is where I think we differ and my sympathy ended. He doubled down instead of finding a way to calm himself and think clearly for two bloody seconds.
(My fault he had a real account by the way... My bad on that one, folks. Should I delete the account or something? I can't imagine he changed the pass or anything.)
