My brother introduced me to this show and I watched one episode two months ago, and then I watched two seasons in the past two days, and it is really depressing.

Fuck, is it? I watched a few episodes with my brother about a week ago and thus far I've been getting a Curb Your Enthusiasm-like vibe thus far.

I am, of course. If you're unfamiliar with Curb, it's a cynical comedy about the life of Larry David, the writer of Seinfeld.
But yeah, I think last episode I watched may have been with the Navy Seal. (Also a similar Curb plot; Larry gets shunned for not thanking a soldier during a greeting.)

I have yet to watch it, but I have seen very, very small bits of it that seemed insightful.

I have yet to watch it, but I have seen very, very small bits of it that seemed insightful. It's insightful sometimes, but it's mostly just depressing. It's a good show, though, but you might want to clear your schedule for a while after watching it because it's just a really sad show to watch. |
