I have a few early game tricks that I often employ and if I can snare you into a trap then, you're pretty much dead, but if you can stay even with me for another five-eight moves I will very quickly become a player of about average skill for a non-tournament underage amateur.

Thank you! I had actually forgotten about Halloween on the day itself because I had both a mathematics and a chemistry test that day that took up a total of roughly 5 hours, so I had other things on my mind.

Heck yeah! I mean, you might get some weird looks, depending on where you go and how you dress up, but you can technically still wear a costume even then.

Well, I'd need to first get a costume, of course.

That's usually the hard part. If you have anything to work with, that's great, but if you don't have enough costume-worthy clothing and accessories, you're pretty much screwed.

(Such was the life of young me every year when Halloween hit and everyone was sent to rummage through the decades-old pile of orphaned costume pieces to "get creative.")

I just have regular clothes. I have no pile of discarded costume pieces, just the clothes that I wear every day. I had a knight costume a few years ago, and an astronaut costume about a decade ago, but I've outgrown both.

When I say "bin full of rejects and parts of old costumes," I mostly mean some clothes that were normal in the '70s, a mop head, and some weird felt thing, so it's not much of an improvement over having no costume at all.

Out of curiosity, though, what did the knight costume look like? It sounds like a cool idea.
