Reno

As Robin spoke I looked into the other room and as he finished I turned to him. "It's your best interest to likely close in on them and I will get in contact with the police." I said to him. "Have them taken in so we can either get the weapon to be revealed to us, or more specifically, you." I say. "I-I think it would be wise to approach them from a back road and have police cut them off on either side of the main road."

I look at Robin's company. "Ear pieces?" I sternly looked at him. "I'm not a spy." I tapped my head. "I do have radios though..." I walked into the other room and grabbed three communication radios out of a filing cabinet.

I handed the radios to them. "Hurry up and take the back road there." I say. "R-Report in when you are almost there."
As I pushed them out the door. "Oh, and you've never been here." I said slamming and re-locking my door.

Robin

I blinked and glanced back at the building noting how quickly he had managed to usher us from the couch to his door. Carl dusted himself off and pocketed his radio and I followed suit, best to keep them concealed for now. “Off we go then.” I muttered and headed off in the direction of the motel, or at least towards a back road leading towards the motel.

(Sorry, I had a lot of work related stuff.)

General RP

A small group of people stood in front of the motel as two began to sneak their way around the back of the building to attempt to get into the room they believed to be Robin's. A taller woman with sunglasses and a hat watched with her back to a tight alley way with a road in front of her.

She began to mumble into an ear piece and a distorted voice came back. "We found a window we can get through." It said.

Through Robin's radio a voice came through. "Engage Bridgette, the police are on their way. Keep her busy for as long as possible. Use the thing alley, she's right on the other side."

Robin

I nodded and made my way towards the alley, how was I to engage or keep her busy? If it were the other way round they would just shoot me with that freeze ray or have their Darkrai/Kangakhan hit me. I winced at the thought of either of those Pokemon hitting me again, hopefully it would be a Wooper next time, they didn’t have any arms. “Rodger,” I muttered.

“Thought that was Reno,” Carl muttered beside me with a cheeky grin.

I chuckled. “I should hope so.” I could see Bridgette down the other end of the alley. A Poliwrath Ice Beam would probably do the trick of disabling her especially if she decided to make this loud anyway. “Hey, Reno, is it alright to freeze her?” I held Poliwrath’s ball ready for his response.

General RP

The radio crackled. "Whatever you gotta do." It replied. "Just stall out the fight as long as y-y-you can."

The figure at the end of the alley turned and jumped back, unsure of who was at the end. "Hello?" Sang out the voice.

[Duck14]

Robin

I motioned Carl back to the side of the alley and without a word he followed. Then without responding to the figure at the other end of the alley I sent out Poliwrath. “Freeze her waist down, make sure you get her pokeball belt,” I muttered loud enough for only Poliwrath to hear. We had to do stall but a frozen prisoner was the best stall available before combat became an issue.

Poliwrath nodded and jumped forward and blew out a large beam of freezing cold ice aimed directly at Bridgette. She could live with a bit of ice.

(Right, so I had an idea on how we could do battles if you're down. Make this a little more interesting. We could use Pokemon Showdown, I think I showed it to you before. The big problem would be we have to be on at the same time, though. If it proves too difficult we can just carry on normally.)

General RP

The woman through her hands up in shock as her legs became frozen to the ground. "What?" She shouted in confusion while some of the people around her began looking into the alley way. "Go, get them!" She shouted as a flood of men and women began pouring into the alley.

She struggle but she was weighted to the ground. "Someone help me." She said to her cohorts.

A larger man began running down the alley as he released a Golett in front of him.

(I would be down but being on at the same time will be hard and Showdown only allows for four moves which we’ve moved away from in previous battles. As well as our more free form approach to Pokemon teams and stadiums (such as Lance’s with those wind tunnels and such). So it will be hard to adjust to what we like to do. Like what we do in a 2v1 or a situation where Jude uses the PC to have more than six Pokemon? That said I wouldn’t mind getting into it with you for fun if we get the chance. Certainly an interesting idea and if we did normal battles I would be onboard 100%. It was fun last time, I believe one of your Jude teams had a great victory against the Robin team I had set up and then my Machamp team got the better of one of your others. Unfortunately, I lost my account details for that site so may have to rebuild.)

Robin

I stood behind Poliwrath and tightened my jacket. A whole group of them were coming our way but we could use that to our advantage. “Poliwrath use Surf on my mark.” He pounded his fist into the air in acknowledgement. “Carl, I’m going to need you to leave the alley and go round to the hotel. Quietly, don’t want you to draw attention to yourself, just keep an eye on things.”

“Alright.”

The first man threw out his Golett and in response I threw out Pidgeot, though she was much closer than the Golett. “Grab me.” Without hesitation her talons wrapped around my shoulders and I no longer had feet on the ground. The large group grew closer and the man his Golett were almost upon us. “Now, Poli!” I yelled. He lurched forward releasing a large wave down the narrow alley, time they went for a swim.

(Also, true. I was thinking we could use it more as a guideline of how the fight rather than it being exact, for example if one team wins, that's who is decided to win the duel but then we play it out in typical fashion with the winner in mind. Up to you though, all things considered.)

General RP

The large grunt panicked and looked for something to jump or grab onto but there was nothing, he and his pokemon were washed to the opposite side of the alley and were slammed into the frozen woman aggressively trying to get to her belt.

People began peering out of their windows to see the commotion.

"Go Magmar, get her out of that ice." Shouted a younger grunt throwing his pokeball. The pokemon appeared and began unleashing a large flame at her. She was being singed but melted out.

"What is wrong with you idiots?" She shouted covering her face.

Two grunts ran along the side of the building and noticed Harry. "Hey you, stay out of the way. It's dangerous." One shouted as they ran passed him.

(I see the merit in that but then some things still won’t get considered, I think all Pokemon are practically the same level on there. We could certainly try it at some point though, I’m just a little sceptical that it could get in the way of the story.)

Robin

From my vantage point above Poliwrath I could see the Magmar melt the ice. Wasn’t much we could do about that but at least it had brought us some time. There were a lot of them against us though and we had to make sure Bridgette didn’t escape, which was a possibility. Hopefully those looking out their windows would stay inside, didn’t want his to get messy. “Hold tight Poli, Surf them if they get close to you again. Put me on the roof Pidgeot.” Pidgeot flew further above to get level with the roof, I could do more from up there.

I nodded to the grunts. “Will do, thanks.” I called back with a smirk and moved aside to let them pass. Then ran around the building myself to get a better view of the hotel.

General RP

A grunt saw the champion on his pokemon take to the sky. "Aerodactyl, go!" She shouted throwing the pokeball into the air. The large creature appeared in a blur of red and instantly took off towards the Pidgeot. "Ancient Power!"
Aerodactyl responded to his trainer's call and materialized large stones into the air and launched them at the bird pokemon.

Robin

I looked back in horror and Pidgeot tried her best to reach our destination before the rocks came. They came at great speed but she managed narrowly dodged a couple. But due to my weight and the fact she still hadn’t recovered from being frozen she wasn’t as agile as usual, so a particularly large stone collided with her back. She squawked in pain and in a last ditch effort slung me towards the rooftop. I flew through the air reaching out to grab on to the edge of the roof but I had been separated from Pidgeot. “Grab her Poli!” I cried out unable to help or see myself but knowing the strong Pokemon would do what it could to save its companion.

Carl

I made it around to the other side of the building nearer the hotel having heard numerous loud noises from the alleyway. I looked around for a sign of Brigette, she was in the alley herself but I should be close to her.

Bridgette

Taking my hat and glasses off. "Figures." I say trying to avoid showing my irritation at this mess. "Take Robin out please." I say releasing my own pokemon; Darkrai.
"Get him." I say and he obliges quickly phasing into the building and reappearing at the top.

Peering over at the trainer the Dakrai began to quickly loom towards him with outreached arms.
Meanwhile, Aerodactyl swooped to catch Pidgeot before Poliwrath had the chance, with a cackle it chomped down on Pidgeot's torso and began to clamp on tight.

Robin

I clamber up to the roof and spot the Darkrai above me. Bridgette must have got hold of her Pokeballs to release it. Sigh, I was never clear on whether or not this was the same Darkrai that I worked with some time back but I was sure it was the same one that gave me recent beating. “I don’t particularly want to take another beating from you, If it’s all the same to you Darkrai.”

I grabbed a ball and jumped back off the building, sending out Sceptile as I did. The green Pokémon grabbed me and the building almost silmultanously. This would have to do for now.

Pidgeot

Pidgeot cried out in pain as the Aerodactyl grabbed her around the waist. Realising that Poliwrath wouldn’t be helping her straight away she used a short range Air Slash on her oppponent hoping that it would cause the other Pokémon to flinch.

Carl

I sent out Meganium, Bridgette had managed to send out her Darkrai but I had to ensure she didn’t manage to send out anymore of her Pokémon. “Use your vines to wrap her up.”

Meganium lifted her head and vines surged from her body towards Bridgette.

Darkrai

I watched as my target threw himself from the building. I quickly hovered to him and began charging a Shadow Ball when I heard Bridgette shout. "Get off me!" She screamed. I looked down at Robin and his Sceptile and sank back into the building and quickly returned to Bridgette's side to find her tangled in vines. I didn't have time to free her without cutting her. I turned to face the other man and the Meganium.

Without waiting for command I began to use Flamethrower towards the two assailants.

The Aerodactyl flinched to protect its eyes from the blast letting the bird pokemon go as he did this. After the wind subsided he began to charge another Ancient Power.

[Duck14]

Robin

I watched the Darkrai head off and ushered Sceptile back to the top of the building. Pidgeot had managed to free herself from the Aerodatyl and Poliwrath remained on the floor. “Poliwrath use Hydropump on the Aerodactyl. Pidgeot I’m going need you whirlwind the alley, make whatever they throw at you fly off course.” The two jumped into action, the bird allowing Poliwrath enough time to line up and shoot the beam of water at the Darkrai before a whirlwind filled the alley with dust.

Carl

I gasped as the Darkrai appeared before us and sent out Rhyperior to protect Meganium. The bulky Pokémon took the majority of the Flamethrower but it wasn’t enough to cover the vines which burnt and faded away. Meganium cried in pain and lost her grip on the former champion.

[Creative]

Bridgette

I scoffed. "You're outmatched, both of you are." I said as I saw grunts come from behind the man with his Meganium with pokeballs in hand. "Outmatched AND outnumbered."

"Darkrai, use Dark Void on this guy and his pokemon!" I shout and Darkrai quickly began conjuring a large vortex that would place them under his spell and put them to sleep.

The Aerodactyl narrowly dodged the blast of water but was hit in the wing as he turned and was swept away to the ground by the wind. He tried to fight to stay up but simply couldn't. He was returned by the grunt who simply stepped to the side quickly, having no other pokemon.

[Duck14]

Carl

I pause and look at the grunts that now surrounded me. They had me. For a moment I considered using Earthquake but this was a public place, civilians would get caught in the crossfire. I reached for my ball to return my Pokémon hoping beyond hope that I clicked the button before the Dark Void hit us all. I was done, it was only a question of if I had returned the two before falling asleep.

Robin

I watched Carl and his Pokémon succumb. What could I do? One on one I was more than a match for everyone down there. Bridgette would be more my level than anyone else but then she had everyone else on her side. I glanced down at my Pokémon. Poliwrath, Pidgeot, and Sceptile, my oldest three, the ones who had been my partners for longer than any other.

“Reno, her Darkrai knocked Carl out. Please tell me that support is nearby.”

Maybe, the cautious or prepared man had answers to this because right now I didn’t. I couldn’t take them all on alone, not at the moment. “Bring Poliwrath up here Pidgeot.” I called and she swooped down to grab the water type. “Oi, Bridgette. Heard you were getting a room. I don’t think they serve wanted criminals around here.”

[Creative]

Bridgette

I roll my eyes. "Tacky." I say before pointing at Robin. "Darkrai, Shadow Ball!" I commanded and he obey throwing his arms forward in a striking motion sending a dark orb at the trainer upon the roof.

General RP

The radio clicked. "I called it in, the cameras show them getting pretty-" Before the voice finished sirens could be heard in the distance.
"You have got to be kidding me." The feminine voice from below said. "Of course the police."

She looked around. "Well?" She asked. "Hold them off!" She said waving them off.

(We could try Showdown here if you'd like. I'm down if you are, just gimme a date and time. I doubt the battle will have too much impact on the story but we could use it as a test.)

(We could try, I’m still a bit iffy about it. My old account deleted my old teams so I don’t have access to those anymore. Will have to make a new one. What’s our Timezone difference, I’m GMT+9.5)

Robin

Sceptile jumped out the way of the Shadow Ball which left a massive graze on the rooftop. The police were nearby but they would have quite a few grunts to get through before managing to get to Bridgette. “Dragon Pulse, return fire.” I commanded. Sceptile lowered me and opened his mouth to eject a large stream of energy back towards the attacker.
