I'm not 100% sure where to put this but I'll try it here. If any of you have read my writing you'll quickly notice a distinct lack of love interests for the characters. This is because I have never been in a relationship so my only source of information would be other media, in which case ny writing would be ridiculously inaccurate. It is obvious that romantic subplots in movies and television shows are not how romance works in the real world, but I don't know which parts are inaccurate.
To those of you who either are dating or have dated in the past, I have several questions:
What do movies get wrong about your love life? What is the courtship process like nowadays? I'll add more as I think of them.

I'm on my phone and my fingers are twice the size of the keys. It regularly changes an "a" to an "s", though I catch it most of the time.

"What do movies get wrong about your love life?"
The difficulty of actually getting someone you like, as well as the number of arguments. Seriously, they make it look so easy, to the point of unrealistic. As for arguments, they happen. All the time. Over really fucking stupid things. Movies try to play it over as smooth and steady, but that's not at all the truth. I don't have any examples for myself, but I do for almost every single one of my friends who is currently dating. There's almost always drama of some sort, and couples don't really tend to see eye to eye a lot despite the fact that they're dating. That's just how I see it, though.

So would you describe the arguments the couples you know get into as being petty, or would you say that they tend to be slightly more substantial than "I am arguing with you because you were late to a minor event due to traffic caused by a car crash that killed eight people"?

Maybe slightly, but no, they are very petty.
