"Say off limits. Not hard. No one care. Only Repentant come if you say no."
"It's getting late and we're minutes away from Avesh-8 Robert. I'll take over the command deck for a bit longer while you sleep and issue a notice while I'm up there," Henry says.

"It just occurred to me that I haven't eaten since we were on Schall. How about we put Miranda in charge of the command deck while you and I have a bite to eat and something to drink?"

"Alrighty! I've been wondering who the cook is. I've looked but I haven't seen a cook on the dossiers. It's odd because we do actually have a kitchen," Henry says as he begins to walk out.
"Goodbye. Not forget promise," the Spider says, looking at you.

"I won't forget," I tell the spider as I accompany Henry out of the engine room. "I'll go up to the command deck, make the announcement that we're nearing Avesh-8 and then meet you at the dining hall. You go ahead and get a table for us."

"Alright, meet you there!" he says, as he climbs the steps. Behind you, the door to the bottom deck is closed. As long as your deal with the spider holds, you'll most likely never return there until all of the things living in there leave. Assuming they can find whatever they're looking for.
You travel to the command deck, where Miranda sits at your chair. This batch seems a little less rambunctious than the day crew, even then it's probably not gonna hold. You don't even know what they were doing when all of this stuff with the Schall was going on. Well, with the exception of Drake, but Drake was still sealed in his room, which would've left the information desk empty had Kem not still stayed.
"Oh, captain. You're here!" Miranda says, stretching and getting up.

"I'm here just to make the announcement of our imminent arrival and then eat; I had a burger for lunch with the Schall before all of this started and it hadn't occurred to me to eat since. You wouldn't mind managing things from here for another hour or so while I eat with my brother, would you?"

"Not at all. Even if we make contact with something on Avesh-8, which we're only five minutes away from now, it'll take us at least an hour to map all of it," Miranda says. She kicks back, relaxes and leaves the way clear for you to reach the speakers.

"Everyone, this is your captain speaking. We are five minutes away from Avesh-8. I hope you've all settled into your new quarters, as they'll be your home for the next few years at the very least. This has been one hell of a first day."
After that I head to the dining hall to find Henry.

Before then you are stopped outside the command deck. The person who stopped you is a male alien, one with stone grey and incredibly rough skin. With his large bulk, you can definitely tell this man is a Ta, meaning that he would have to be Chess, as he was the only Ta registered on the crew. He was also on the first crew if you remember correctly, managing the second weapons station.
"Captain! I just wanted to say thank you," Chess says.

"You're welcome, but if you're thanking me for what I think you are then it was admittedly selfish self-preservation that was my motivation; I didn't want the Schall to kill me anymore than anyone here wants to be killed by the Schall."

"No, not that. You defended Andrea Weber when you could've sold her out to ensure our well beings. She did me a great service four years ago, one that is very difficult to repay. It is not often that I get to stand on the crew that is on the side of such a close ally. Now I will be on my way."
Now that was unusual. The Ta were one of the races that the insurrection was fought against. In addition to that, the Ta were probably just as vengeful as the Schall, if not more. However, they were also an incredibly sincere race. They would never tell a lie.

It would appear that I need to study the file on Chess in more detail later on. For now I'll continue heading towards the dining hall.

You finally reach the mess hall. Outside, Henry is waiting for you.
"I'm sorry. I just wanted us to share our reactions to the cook out of brotherly love."
You walk inside to reveal a human woman, mid-30's, brown hair, brown eyes.
"And I suppose you're the cook?" Henry smiles.
"Worse. I'm your doctor," she says with a deadpan expression.
"What?"
"My name is Monica Ricci, the only doctor aboard this ship. I have, with the permission of the Keepers, taken over management of this mess hall to ensure sufficiently healthy meals are being served. We would not want a sick bay full of scurvy patients, now would we?" she smiles.

"Agreed. Despite the name of the ship we are not contemporaries of it's namesake. Scurvy should not exist in this day and age; that said, surely you'll also allow us to eat food that tastes good."

"Why of course!"
She gives you two plates with mashed potatoes and...
"Dear god, what is that fish!?" Henry exclaims.
"Oh stop being melodramatic," Monica replies. "It's a shemarri fish. It lives on a moon orbiting a gas giant in the Schallan home system. I noted them for being particularly disease resistant and free of mercury unlike other fish so I bought a lot of them while we were in that neighborhood. Before they started shooting at us, of course. Consider it my welcoming gift."
The fish looked like ass. And smelled worse.

(There is a dining room. However, you dictate whether or not it is necessary to use.)

I take a seat in the dining room far away from other people so that Henry and I can talk uninterrupted for a bit.
(I've had one hell of a day, sorry for the late, half-assed reply)

(You're fine. Gave me the time I needed to plan out the next arc more carefully. (At this point I'm just going with the flow to be perfectly honest.))
"So," Henry says as he sits down, "what you think about the new ship? I'm willing to bet fifty KN we're gonna get bombed or something in the next month."

"I think that this entire mission was an excuse to get rid of politically dangerous people. I kept advocating an end to the isolationist policies of the Keepers. Both Andrea Weber and Miranda were scheduled to be executed but couldn't for some reason. There's also the Spider. The list goes on, but the point is that the Keepers clearly don't want us to succeed. They figured that they could put everyone they didn't like on a broken-down ship and never see or hear from us again."

"Well not broken down. This is comfier then some posts I've been given, even if admittedly wilder," Henry shrugs. "Who knows? Maybe we'll find something that really will validate this mission. Or something that will kill us. Or maybe start a war. Whichever comes first. On the other hand, we're gonna have a problem with drama these next few days. Drake's a mess, Miranda's far too hardnosed for her own good, Andrea's a damned monster who could take over if we're not careful, that Sunola chick is far too uptight and half the crew probably has a reason to kill the other half."

"That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about, sort of. Of the people on this ship, who would you say that you would be willing to trust?"

Henry whistles.
"Now that is an excellent question," he replies. "Right now, I'm not sure. Granted it's only the first day, but I can't find a single person to trust other than Miranda, and she's got her own problems. I'd like to say William as well Edward and Clare from the security team but they're not loyal to us: William is only intent on taking care of the maintenance crew and the young couple answer only to Kaminski, and I trust Kaminski almost as much as I trust Drake, and that's only as far as I can throw both of them together with one hand."
