Exactly. We have control over the filter and moderation and more, which makes it better. you don't have direct control though, you don't even have an account on bc when you think about it. i didn't say i was i said we, trying to imply that as a community we can share ideas and con--nvm |

There's no filter in discord either. It's just more convenient to use because the mobile site for proboards will never beat the mobile app of discord.

The reason for my being unable to use Discord on mobile is that there is no mobile site, only a mobile app, and my iTunes account is connected to a complicated family account system and so my purchases would be tracked by my family. |

It doesn't even have to be intentional; it'd be listed in the whole list of family purchases, so if I have a TV show or something on my iTunes that someone else wants to download they might see it by chance and then go down a rabbithole of researching me, which I don't want to risk. |

This is a terrible thing to argue about. The solution is obvious; if we have Discord at our disposal, we can take every subforum not Roleplay related out, and use the Discord for that.
Messaging on Discord can be used for talk about upcoming roleplays and other personal stuff. Messaging on BC can be used for talking sbout the events that are happening in a roleplay that is currently going on.

Discord has three main things about it that make it less than ideal for me: - To use on mobile it requires an app
- To read old messages you need to do a lot of scrolling
- All conversations are happening all at once on one "thread", so it's hard to have multiple conversations at once.
If you can find some way to address those concerns then I'll rejoin the Discord, but until then, I have no interest in doing so. |
