Does anyone know any tricks to get some sleep? Because I've been trying for hours and I can not sleep.

Breath in deeply, hold it for a few seconds, then let out a breath longer than than the one you breath in- it calms you down and helps you sleep.
Also helps with exam stress too.

The two tips are know are either to make yourself tired and crave a rest or keep things dim before bedtime.
You can exert yourself, maybe have a little of a workout or something that'll make you stop and want to take a break for a couple minutes... or hours. Eight hours, to be precise.
Enjoying your nightly movies, internet browsing, and phone things right before going to bed? Are you currently on your phone right now when you could be fast asleep? Now it's gonna be even harder for you to hit the bed because you just want to get some shuteye and your brain and eyes are gonna be like "whoa dude it was super bright like three seconds ago!" It makes sense to me at least, seeing as it does take the eyes quite a while to adjust to the darkness.

For some reason I fall asleep quickest when I'm trying to avoid it, like reading a book. I've had problems sleeping in the past as well so I know how frustrating it can be.

If you can get it, take two pills of benadryl before you go to bed. It's strong, it's over the counter and perfectly safe. Helps you not wake up to bad allergies and is apparently in some cases recommended to patients who have difficulty sleeping because it just makes you so tired. I get drowsy with just one pill.

Enjoying your nightly movies, internet browsing, and phone things right before going to bed? Movies can help you sleep if you do it right. You just have to do it in a way where you can fall asleep during it and not have to get up when it ends. Also, I'm pretty sure most people who have trying to go to sleep for three hours can go on their phone knowing that they're not falling asleep anytime soon anyways, and at least this way they're not bored or left to their own troubling thoughts

Whenever I can't sleep for forever I give up and scroll through things until I end up falling asleep at some point without meaning to. It always works eventually

I managed to finally get some sleep by giving the floor a shot. It is surprisingly softer than my mattress.

I'd be careful with that one Tim. I used to do that, and it A) pissed off my dad and B) made my mom think I can sleep in any condition.
B is perfectly fine, but the only reason A is tolerable is because he lives on the other side of the US and my mom has primary custody over me (Unlike in most cases, I don't get to stop worry over who has custody over me till 21, cause Mississippi.)

Yeah, it really bothered my mother. By the way, my floor isn't carpeted, it's just wood.
