They certainly aren't when you basically make it appear to be a joke poll, and enable people to select every option possible. All your polls have been jokes, and you seem to have no intention of changing that, therefore I have no intention of taking them seriously, or as any sort of compelling evidence. And I'd ask how my statement was terrible advice, but your responses to such things are always horribly condescending essays that I simply don't care about, so I wont bother. At this point I just really don't care anymore. Tim has settled the original problem, so at this point none of this really matters. |

Just fucking look at the results "26 votes from 11 people." That's over double the amount of votes per people who voted Can you honestly sit there and tell you believe this poll gives an accurate representation of opinions in this forum? I sure don't. It looks to me like the results are meaningless because a few people selected every answer, and therefore made the results conflict. Not to mention the jokes make it easy for people to not take it seriously, and therefore they wont vote seriously. These never have and never will be accurate displays of community opinion, and only will be once you decide to make a poll that isn't half shitpost, half serious. |

But regardless, in that situation you still don't actually know how much of the community really voted for that option, and how many of them just selected a bunch of options for the hell of it. There's no way to gather an accurate measurement of the actual community opinion. Are you sure the second option actually took first place? Because maybe a few people just selected the first three options and fucked off. And have you noticed that one of your joke options took first place, further skewing the results? Or that third place is tied between one legitimate option and two joke options, which, in turn, also skews the results? You don't seem to get that you've added too many joking variables to a simple question, and have, in turn, made the results a joke. |
