But for sanity I'll keep it terse:
A poem is more
Than a story or lore
And its uses can be quite diverse.
(For stubbornness, I'll take the time
To speak my words mostly in rhyme.
If poems be moved,
I think it quite rude
And I shall not end this paradigm.)

Yeah, if your poem's a story it belongs in story, but in cases like the previous poem (Which, quite obviously, this whole thing is about) you've posted where it isn't a story, then it shouldn't be in the story board. While I can't find it for some reason, if I remember right, what you made was more like a social commentary, possibly bordering on the realm of satire (As I said, it's hard to remember without a copy of it in front of me). It was poorly done, sure, but elements of it were still there, and being poorly done was the whole point of it anyways. At least, as far I could tell.

There's a very simple solution to this, and it's to ask Tim
He holds final say on this forum as whole, and he's the one that set up all the sub-forums and their specific purposes.

This is a great example of...well, the world nowadays. Everyone's getting furious over tiny little things and administering big, negative consequences for them, and it's really not helping.
There's no real point in fighting over this particular subject either. Seriously? Which sub-forum the poems go in? Honestly, it's pretty ridiculous.

This is a great example of...well, the world nowadays. Everyone's getting furious over tiny little things and administering big, negative consequences for them, and it's really not helping. There's no real point in fighting over this particular subject either. Seriously? Which sub-forum the poems go in? Honestly, it's pretty ridiculous. Truthfully, the world has always been this way. Humans are prone to dig in their heels, especially over petty matters. Kings would go to war over simple insults. Religions are founded and defended over the smallest of details A war that spanned the globe was started because one man got shot And if you don't think caveman back in the day didn't club each other to death because someone stole their stick, then you're naive. Aside from that, I was merely attempting to do my job. Am I digging my heels in over a matter I don't need to? Certainly. But I've dug this far in, so I might as well see how deep it'll go. |

I was saying that the negotiation between the two opinions should be that if it has to do with your real life, you should post it in Life Talk, but otherwise it goes in Stories, and I mentioned that it should go like this for Purring, you, and generally everyone. As a side question, please don't take any offense from this in general. I'm legitimately trying to help out, and looking back, I see that I shouldn't have gotten involved with this. It's none of my business. Plus, it's fully resolved now, so we can go back to our regular activities without more arguments. |
