The Odd and Slightly Dangerous Adventures of Life (Chub)

"Miss Ava that's...!" Before she could continue her sentence, Ava covered her mouth and pulled her down into cover. The two of them hid behind a large bush that was hard to see through.

'Damnit all...how could a big Orc like that possibly be captured?!' Ava thought to herself, trying to assess the situation.

Ava suddenly remembered the Orc talking about a group called "The Highwaymen", could these be people them? It'd make sense, seeing they ravaged everything that was in the Wagon. There's still no sign of the driver either, did he get away?

"Don't move..." Ava said to Lola in the quietest tone she could muster. She peeked her head ever so slighty to catch another glimpse of the situation.

The driver was no where to be seen despite your hope of him leaning out from behind a tree and motioning you over or having a crossbow and being ready to gun down one of them on your command. Though, again, he was no where to be seen.
You count four men, all of them in tight fitting clothes, you assume it is so they don't get caught on anything in the swamp. The lot of them are bringing the orc further and further into the swamp, possibly to their camp.

Ava was faced with the option of either risking her and Lola's life to save the Orc, or surrender the Orc to the men and losing a customer.

An idea came to Ava's mind,

"Lola, you study water magic...can you possibly freeze the swamp water solid?"

Ava thought that if the water was frozen solid, it would freeze their feet in place and give her the opportunity to knock out the men somehow and rescue the orc. Ava could be pretty menacing when she wanted to be, maybe she could simply scare them stiff while they're stuck in place?

Lola looked at the men and back to Ava "I can try...but I don't know if I can..."

Regardless of what she said, she extended both her hands towards the water the men and the orc were walking through, hoping that the water would possibly freeze over. She squinted her eyes trying to muster every bit of energy she could to freeze the water, taking deep breathes.
