Apologies if this is a bit too heavy ...
My brother is being visited by the Make-a-Wish foundation. That means he's going to die, and soon. We had known he wouldn't live for too long, and initially he was estimated to not make it past six, but still... This really sucks. Oh shit that is a bit heavy. What was his wish? |

OK, I feel like a huge idiot now. While previously, that organization almost exclusively visited those who were close to death, their policy has now changed to include those with simply life-threatening/limiting illnesses (which he still has, but is doing.. well.enough). His eligibility for this program does.not mean he is close to death, and I rashly jumped to that conclusion based on incomplete information. Apologies for any distress caused by that misinformation.
TLDR: The fact that my brother was chosen for make a wish does not mean he's about to die. My mistake. He still is ill, but not near the point of death by most means.
