Technically, they didn't blast into your kingdom. They simply rode up to your gates but whatever. dialogue scene 1 mysterious riders - mutant inquirer Mutant Inquirer: "Who are you?" Left Mysterious Rider: "I am Gnaeus, my brother to the right of me's name is Appius. We come from Essawe on the mainland. We sailed here because of a prophecy told by our father, the Augur of Sinopoli." Mutant Inquirer: "Why are you here?" Appius: "As my brother told you, we were directed here based on a prophecy. Our father told us that your green-skinned leader would be the next King of the Realms." Mutant Inquirer: "Why do you wear the masks?" Gnaeus: "Our faces shan't be revealed until the eve of your leader's coronation as the King." Appius: "He is to lead the forces of these lands in unity to contest the armies of the Gods." Mutant Inquirer: "We do not believe in your gods." Gnaeus: "Our Gods have invested power in us beyond your belief." Mutant Inquirer: "Prove it." Gnaeus: "Only on the battlefield, my friend."
What do you want to do from here?

You aren't being handed the key to the city m8. They're saying that they're here to assist you to help conquer the entirety of Tanelus (the world), but people in Sinopoli (a city in Essawe) are ready to donate their lives to the cause. Their father was a revered augur (a person who can predict the future), so they're saying that you will conquer the entire world.

That's pretty cool, dude. First order of business: make conversion into a mutant available to the silly humans. Second, reinforce defences and borders and stuff.

You make the serum available for purchase for humans. You're on an island cunt. There are no borders.

Oh. Well then, let's build a /(more) port, and upgrade it.

You begin to construct a port. This should increase maritime trade. (starts income at 150 p/t)

Oh yes Mr. Krabs. How's my new absorbed kingdom doing?

You don't have an absorbed kingdom, you BIG NERD. Just a bunch of people willing to sacrifice everything they have based off of something an old crazy guy said.
So take it like this. You can call upon Sinapoiotes in the Essawe Kingdom to come support your armies as well as financially, logistically, and politically.
You have 3,950 bullet shells.

Oh, ok Has my scouting party returned? Have any humans volunteered to become mutants?

The scouting party returns with information about the Atravarian Hill Tribes. They have ivory, coal, and barley and are willing to trade with you for copper and salmon. There's also a small pocket of Atravarians willing to become mutants.

Alright, but can we sufficiently produce copper and salmon?

|

As a coastal state, you'll be able to produce the salmon. You can offer copper in large quantities from armor that mutants don't use.

Alright, it's a deal. But it's probably a good idea to git a copper mine started. Let's bring those tribespeople and inquire why they want to become mutants, and turn em.

You send a prospector out to find copper. You interrogate the tribespeople and they say they want to be stronk like Hulk.

Alright then, we ship them over here and turn them. In the meantime, begin constructing ships that are specialized for colonization.

You begin to produce ships with larger cargo bays in preparation for settling new settlements.
You have 8,300 bullet shells and have an income of 800 bullet shells p/t.

How did the mutation go for the tribals? Load some ships up and send them off.

They were successfully mutated. You load up the ships and send out mutants to colonize other lands.
You colonize three new places; Kópassey to the east, the Pyost Island north and you've absorbed some of the lands from the Atravarian Hill Tribes.
Kópassey Results: Kópassey has an abundance of lead and oranges.
Pyost Island Results: Pyost has a strategic position, being in the Brigantine Bay. Pyost is also home to pigs and cows.
Occupied Atravarian Hill Tribe Land Results: The Hill Tribespeople aren't pleased with your absorption of their lands, albeit a small amount. But they aren't prepared to go against you. Settlements in these lands are good for mining towns as well as military outposts due to the hills. Currently, your mutants are assimilating Atravarian Hill Tribespeople's culture and converting them to mutant ideologies.
Together, the three colonies' economic potential will raise your per-turn income by ▲110% (880 BS). You will start receiving 1,680 BS [bullet shells] p/t.

You mutate the pigs and gain mutated pigs.
Ambassadors from the Shadow Kingdom (southwest) have arrived at your gates. They're here to open diplomatic negotiations.
You have 9,980 BS.

You build ports in two of your three colonies (the land in the Hill Tribes is landlocked). This should increase maritime trade and thus your economy by 10%.
Your economy has gone up by ▲10%. Your projected p/t revenue is now 1,848 BS.
