I know that it's a while away for lots of people here, but (for those of you willing to share such information) where do you want to go to for your tertiary education? I think I might take the risk and apply to a college or two in Cambridge or Oxford (maybe Trinity in Cambridge and Balliol in Oxford), but I'll also apply to more safe bets such as Cornell, Princeton, Yale and Harvard. My main issue might be my lack of knowing a foreign language because my school doesn't offer foreign languages for me to learn, but if I'm not mistaken Cornell and Princeton don't require languages and I am hopeful that my other academic scores and the peculiar situation that I'm in will make up for that at the other schools and that I can just take the however many years of highschool language requirement while studying at whichever college I choose.
Of course, I'm also considering cheaper options for if I fail to gain scholarships to any of the aforementioned very expensive English language universities. Many universities in continental Europe are state-funded in their entirety and offer English language courses, though I do not yet know which ones I'll apply to. I do, however, have a bias towards both universities with a history and universities with a level of prestige associated with their name, so that will be heavily taken into consideration.
To reiterate my initial question, what schools are you guys considering for once you become adults?

going to try and get into the United States Naval Academy if not, then maybe West Point if not, then some college with a good ROTC program, like maybe Auburn. still not entirely sure which branch i'm going to go into; leaning towards Navy.
military is an appeal for me due to entirely free college in exchange for generally 4 years of service.

Community college for the first couple years, to get the general stuff out of the way without paying too much money
Then ...
Something else?

It's a terrible time to try to go into ROTC, West Point or USNA. Especially with the Clinton administration very close to reality, with her wanting to put boots on the ground in Syria.
But I want to become a student abroad and go to Munich, Germany to learn to engineer or Oxford to get a Ph.D. in business, or Harvard to study law. These three universities stand out to me because German engineering is world-renowned, and if you have any degree from Oxford, a prestigious school, you'll garner a respectable amount of interest from international companies, as well as Harvard. Harvard is mostly known as a law school and many of my teachers and mentors over the years have recommended me to become a lawyer. If I do go into the field of law, then I'd rather be a corporate lawyer, although that's a lot of stress.

I want to study international relationships and political sciences in the CIDE university, probably gonna live alone in Mexico City. Spend my last year in either Berlin or London with an exchange program. After that, do some practices abroad with the Mexican Exterior Service, hell, could even work in an embassy.

Probably gonna stay within my state since going to college/uni outside of the state is an easy way to rack up debt, so I was thinking UGA or Berry. I may go local and attend KSU instead since this whole band thing is starting to go somewhere.
If the band doesn't work then I'll probably end up joining the armed forces. My interests in majors are hovering around medicine, criminal justice, and possibly in business.

Youngstown State University, or potentially Ohio State University if I can get a full ride Either way, I'm going to major in journalism. Haven't the slightest what my minor will be, maybe history or law. I dunno

I think I'll go to JCU and become a genetic scientist. When genetic modification becomes legalized I plan on creating and breeding genetically modified pets for novel purposes(Different colours, no allergic reactions, glow in the dark, better health and extended lifespans.).

i got a 1500 on the SAT so im hoping to coast into MIT or somethin, ive also got some pretty sicknasty extracurriculars (school president, founder and president of 2 clubs, 80 hours community service)
im planning to be a STEM major so im really not worried at all when it comes to scholarships and paying for college
shits still a bit nervewracking tho... i can't wait to go to college and realize everyone is way smarter than me. im tired of being the smartest one in the room
edit: oh shit, i should mention APs
i've been lucky enough to take and pass all my AP classes, and by the end of this year I'll have a total of 11 or 12 AP credits, so i can hopefully skip my GERs. kek.

Only 80 hours of community service? Last year I racked up 200+ hours of community service you scrub. And when I was overlooking your extracurriculars you didn't have anything relating to athletics, which is a thing colleges like to have. If you're in your senior year and you haven't played sports at all and all you have to show for it is that you were aq school president, and founder of two clubs isn't much. For example, here're my extracurriculars and other things I'd put on my college admission resume.
1. I've completed over 200 hours of community service. 2. I've been in my academy's color guard. 3. I'm in the National Junior Honor Society and will continue membership into the National Honor Society upon going into high school. 4. I've been in AVID for over 3 years. 5. I participate regularly in STEM activities that happen at my school and locally. 6. I went with a group of about 15 to the AMLE Conference 2016, which is a national conference held to discuss middle-level education (middle schools). 7. I've played soccer, basketball, and football multiple times. 8. I have a 4.3 GPA on a 5.0 scale. 9. I've mainainted to be an A-B (mostly A) student my entire academic career.
that's just to start off.
