(my plug.dj playlist is littered with the occasional lana del rey or marina song, to where my friend and i will be playing some hack and slash or fantasy video game and then one of them will come on. it's gotten to the point where he's grabbed some of them as well to where we both have a ton of lana and marina songs in our play lists. good shit.
and then on pandora i'll occasionally go on the 'marina station' instead of my usual folksie or punk stuff)

I shake my head, "Campus rules. No animals other than fish.. but what are you going to do with fish?" I glance over to the megaphone, not really feeling an urge to hurry myself up. "I don't know. Animals just seem like a really good connecting topic with a lot of people."

oh god yeah, i'm the twat who keeps going onto your plug dj room to see if anyone's there and then i leave the tab open bc i have too many playlists atm whoopsssss)

"People like animals and as for the fish...." She trails off as you reach the amphitheater then blinks as if she's just relived a memory. "Well you can't exactly stroke or pet them can you? Plus they end up dying super easy, very unreliable for long term living arrangements. Wait that sounded weird, I made it sound like they're kitchen appliances or something"

"I don't know if I'd ever want one, even if my campus allowed them.." I decide to clarify a bit more, "Animals, including fish that is." I listen to Andi's input on the whole thing, "Did you end up having an aquarium or something at some point? And I guess they're as useful as some of the kitchen stuff some people have in their houses.. just sitting around and never used.

(   that sounds cool, I'm usually asleep when everyone else is on it lol but who knows, I might pull an all nighter to hang out and stuff lmao.) 

"Used to have a friend who kept fish. When they eventually died she just replaced the tank with an electric tank and put plastic fish in it. Her boyfriend didn't even notice." As you get to the amphitheater Andi flashes  her badge at a member of security who nods and let's you both pass. When you mention about not wanting pets she raises an eyebrow. "So you're not a big animal guy, huh?"

(i usually log on it when i get home from school and listen while doing hw or whatever so yee.. but yeah, that'd be cooL!)

I snicker at the input about the plastic fish, just as we're walking up to the security which he ends up rewarding me with a weird look. Oh well. Not wanting to give him more time to stare at me to where I'm conscious of his judgement, I walk a tad bit faster. "I suppose not. I already have to work to keep myself.. well, mildly presentable," It was difficult to tell if I was making an attempt at humor or just stating the facts. I didn't really know myself.. my messy, dirty blond, medium-cut hair needs gel in order to not look like a bird's nest, a whole platoon of face washers and cleansers to keep acne at bay, and a hefty amount of self discipline to have some kind of diet in order. "to where I'm doubtful if I'd be able to give the same amount of care to an animal.. perhaps minimum but at that point it might be better off as a stray."

[sounds good! i might be on there later tonight /this morning seeing as it's roughly half one and i'm not feeling that tired yet ayy)

"I see" She nods as both of you begin your decent down the steps of the amphitheater. It's all circular, countless rows of seating made from shiny white stone that gives a very new & fresh vibe, completely contrasting with the clutter & worn canvas of the information tent that you just came from. When you stop to think about it whole of The Hallowed feels like patchwork of budgets, ideals and cultures, held together by the promise of the supernatural and the hopes of mortals. Somehow it works though.

as for the plug thing, i'm logging off now having to wake up on mondays is such a buzzkill)

She sees? What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Did I forget to put on deodorant today? Somehow didn't also use my anti-dandruff shampoo? When I said I try and be at least somewhat presentable, I wasn't necessarily looking for concurrence on how I need extra presentation to not look outstandingly ugly. Whatever though.
I look around as we descend down the stairs, taking in the blatant show of quality. Or was it meant to be blatant? I'm really unsure.

You're both silent for a few minutes as you continue your descent to the bottom of the amphitheater, it's not too uncomfortable thank god. In this time you actually get a proper look at Andi: she looks Creole, is probably about 5'4, dressed in a simple black tee-shirt and back jeans. Her short hair is rather curly and there's a tattoo poking out from her left sleeve.
"I assume you're at college right now..... Do you study anything?" She asks as the both of you reach the bottom.

(yeah, i looked it up and it is! could intrude on plug.dj sessions )

I'm sure I could have made it much more awkward if I had said those things aloud.. obviously, I'm thankful I didn't. I look at her, thinking she's pretty in that kind of not really trying kind of way. A rare type of pretty.
"Yeah.. I'm studying English." I shrug a bit in as a way to justify myself. I've seem to do a lot of that.. shrugging, that is, not justifying myself, "Seems like a pretty malleable subject."

( psssh i spend too much time on my laptop, so i guess we're probably bound to cross paths on there at some point )

"That sounds cool" Andi smiles, displaying genuine interest as she puts her box down on the bottom row of seating. Fishing a pen out of her pocket she begins to start writing a note to whoever runs the amphitheater, detailing how many of each poster are in their boxes, ectra. "Do you enjoy it?"

(true, true. i always have it open on my pc whenever i'm on it so yee)

I set down my box by hers, glancing from it to her. "Yeah.. it also is something that allows me to travel a lot, so that's cool.. like, I could teach pretty much anywhere in the world because of it.. or some job other than teach."

"Well if you enjoy it and it gives you opportunities don't" She points her pen at you in a joking manner, giving him a cheeky grin "give it up. You wouldn't believe how many people drop out of college with unfulfilled potential"

I nod, not really needing motivation to stay in school. If he could find a job that meant being able to easily find work elsewhere if he got bored of those around him, he was all for it. "How about you? Are you in college?"

[katt]

"Naw, I left about a year and a half ago; I wasn't going anywhere fast so it became more of a chore than actual education" Andi shrugs, pushing the pen behind her ear. It's really beginning to get dark now that the sun's right on the edge of the skyline, creating long shadows across the ampitheatre.

[llama]

"That's fair enough." I look up to the skyline and further inspect the amphitheater, unsure of what subject to bring up next for conversation.. hm, awkward.

"Yeah...." She shifts her gaze to the floor, absentmindedly checking her watch. Six minutes until the first performance. "Um, are you bothered about going to main stage? It starts soon, that's all"

(So goddamn awkward bless them)

"Do you need any more help? I guess I could help out more. Like, I could miss some of it. I'm sure that there are more than enough miracles to go around." I put my hands in my pockets and lower my eyes to the floor, and then bring one hand out to adjust my glasses.

"That's very sweet of you but I-" She guilty looks around to make sure none of her coworkers are close by before continuing. "I was going to skive the end of my shift to watch some of the performance you see-"

( they're absolute nerds oh dear )

"Oh!" I speak up, not making her explain any further. "Oh, okay. Yeah, that sounds good. Would be a shame to miss out on it."

(a sad scene )

She hurriedly holds her hands up in defense at his response. "I'm not trying to ditch you or anything, you're free to come with me- if you want that is, I won't force you"

"Either way is fine. I'm fine with going out on my own. Wouldn't want to intrude on anything." Damn, I'm sounding like an asshole. I don't know how to clarify myself.. but then again, I don't really want to have to go in a clarification rant.

"O-kayyy" Andi replied with the classic "I don't know what you're exactly getting at but you're not trying to be outright rude and I appreciate that" face aka an expression of agreement and slight sympathy. "Well I'm gonna get going if you want to come"

(Do you want your isrp to be connect to rock's & pawz's? Both of theirs are connected/ they happen in the same universe and the characters meet, what they do affects each other ectra, though they're currently an hour ahead of you time wise. You don't have to if you don't want to, it's merely an option)

"Yeah, alright." I trail behind her, not quite committing to staying by her but also walking with her in the general direction towards the amphitheater.. would it kill me to make up my mind and not make this even more weird???

(whichever you'd enjoy more; if you wanna try stuff with this rp that you'd be able to do with this isrp but not the combined one than this. if you'd like everyone to be together, then that's cool too.

You walk in silence, a profound and rather awkward silence where Andi pulls her phone out to go onto twitter, head down as she walks. You can hear the screams of the crowd as the show starts, music booming across the whole site.

Yeah.. I suppose I should go now. I mutter a goodbye and a /maybe/ see you later but that was lost under the whole lot of noise. I make my way to the hub of activity, looking for either a place to go away from everyone but still be able to see it or one of the less rambunctious areas.
