Log Entry 1: I’m pretty sure I have crossed the threshold. My feet are firmly planted in the soil of a world entirely alien to me.
Log Entry 2: This world is most assuredly strange. Odd and angry faces, twistedly carved into the barren rock… I must steel my toes and shake my head. Now is not the time to lose composure at the native sculptures.
Log Entry 3: The objects previously described as carvings appear to be animated by some force beyond my knowledge. They are plainly composed of rock and compressed sediment. As their mouths move to grimace at me, dust falls from their lips. These creatures are disturbingly man-like, yet lacking in some crucial component. In that sense, they are irksomely like me.
Log Entry 4: I must escape this planet. But as I move to do so, I find that my body is extremely heavy. I tap my limbs. Hollow and hard. I cannot move. My limbs crawl away. My body recedes into the ground. All that remains is my head, face in a twisted grimace.
