The once great Empire of Nomi has been reduced to their namesake city, it's former vassals are all trying to claim the title of emperor but none of them seem to have much success.
To the east and north opportunist non-imperials tribes are greedily looking at the recently divided lands hoping to start new kingdoms.

Alaric's Coronation:
28 BC
Diriaism formerly the largest and most powerful faith in the world has began to falter with age, people are converting with obnoxious speed and heretics are popping up like wildfire.
In a blaze of glory the great city of Nomi capital of Diriaism fell and all its prophets were forced to leave the city, choosing to live out their exile on the small island of Jokisa which is owned by Alaric.
They have given Alaric a great opportunity, all of Diriaism kingdoms will unite under his flag and attempt to recover their old lands. Although some claim Alaric has bigger plans then that.

After Alaric's death he had successfully taken over Nomi and proceeded to divide the faith in half declaring himself a god and a emperor.
Sadly good things can only last so long, due to Alaric's hedonist ways his empire was split into eight different kingdoms for eight different sons.
To the north the first kingdoms are beginning to pop up as well powerful raiders looking for wealth, to the east nomadic nature is much the same but new realms are as common as wheat.

Simply put the east is going through a drought and is slowly killing off all who live there. Those who are smart have began to claim the west as their own constantly invading and looking for solid land, but they realized soon that their old way of living wouldn't work here and started to settle down.

(well, me and a friend of mind were in the process of making a post apocalyptic rp set in the southern US after a massive hurricane sweeps the region, as well as top secret US government bioweapon project is accidentally released, or a super hero isrp.)
