Write a one-sentence story premise. Based upon that premise, write a miniature story. One hundred and fifty words is recommend. At most, however, your story can be two hundred words in length - going over this limit will knock off points when I judge the submissions. Regardless of length, your tale should still include the basic elements a story requires to be a enjoyable narrative. There is no set theme for this contest, as the limitation is to create a concise, albeit complete short story. When writing your story, please abide by the rules of the forum. Submissions deemed inappropriate by the admins will likely be excluded from the final judging, or the thread will be deleted. I will be the judge for this contest. This contest will end October 19th, at 7:00 am, CST. First Place: 1000 posts. Second Place: 500 posts. Third Place: 250 posts. Participation Reward: 10 posts. Best of luck to you all!
Don't forget, please post all threads in this board!

It's the result of a conversation from a few days ago where we were discussing how annoying it is to not be allowed to use adjectives for school papers due to arbitrary word limits. It's to add an extra challenge to the contest.

Okay. I think it's stupid.

Okay. I think it's stupid. It's to add to the challenge and to the fun. It's basically just a ban on flowery metaphors, adverbs and adjectives.
