"My name? I am me, unique. If you must call me anything at all, speak to me as a slave does to his master. Call me 'Lord Ego'."
"Brazen? That is a thing to be cherished, in this land of worms who bind themselves in servitude to other worms. I come and go anywhere as I please, hither and thither, and without rhyme nor reason. The short answer is: I'm headed everywhere. But this road seems to lead to Property, and now I make my approach to take it as my own!"
"You wish for a description of me? Very well. I walk like a dancer, fluid like my values and my mind. My clothes are comfortable enough to keep out the cold, and uncomfortable enough to warrant a change! My eyes are black like an all-engulfing void, consuming and marking all that they look upon as my property! My face is smooth and free of blemish! And the rest of me is always obscured by the sun around my head! And finally, as you can no doubt tell, I speak like a poet.
"Allow me to reiterate. I am me, and therefore unique. There is nothing that I look upon and say 'I hate this. I will not let this become me.' That is the definition of a mind-phantom! I become as I please -- and am therefore happy beyond all measure."
"All my belongings are in that pouch. Its only contents are a mirror, so that I may gaze into my own eyes and see all that is mine!"
"I am acting as a conjurer --- that is the short of what I do, and I do it exceptionally."
As a practitioner of conjuration, you may summon and bind creatures to your will.
Summoning spells require magic crystals to use. Magic crystals can be bought from merchants, or found at sites with a high concentration of elemental magic. To activate, you must crush the gem in your hand then call out to whatever it is you are summoning.
Binding spells do not require magic crystals. They can be used on any valid target, so long as you are mentally stronger than them.
Your spells are as follows:
Bind beast: You may bind normal beasts, such as wolves or crocodiles, to your will.
Summon beast: Summons an astral beast, such as a large lizard or a canine. Requires nature gems
Bind human: Bind humans to your will, so long as you are mentally stronger
Summon dead: Summon a ghost to assist you. Requires astral gems, or death gems, depending on who you are attempting to summon
Acashic Knowledge: Directs you to locations with a particularly high magic concentration.
The old man thanks you for entertaining his questions, then bids you adios and begins walking the opposite direction of you. Eventually, he is out of sight, and you continue on unhindered. You desire to reach Jomon, the rising star in the far east. It lies a fair distance away, but you are confident that you can reach it soon enough. Your journey has already been a long one, after all, so what is a few more days?
Your journey comes to a close at the change of seasons. Leaves begin to fall, and the trees are turning to autumn colors just as you spot the city of Oniaura in the distance. A red stone palace towers above the homes below and you walk past farmers harvesting their crops and chopping wood to prepare for winter. They wave at you as you pass. The stone road ends as a great gate begins. The guards inform you that you've arrived just in time, as they were preparing the close the gate. They allow you to enter the city, and shut the doors behind you. Inside there is a bustle of activity. Hammers chime rhythmically as builders construct... things, and peasants hurry through the streets trying to sell their crops and their cattle. You spot a small group of gentlemen entering what appears to be a tavern, and many more going in and out of the various shops lining the entrance of town.
