"I'd like to know a few things. One of them being what you want me here for." Henri says, crossing his arms, and tapping his foot.

"Oh, I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time, but allow me to introduce myself first. My name is father Dominic Divarro. I over-see this cathedral, and Church practices in the area. I called you here to deal with a few cultists. The pay with be 500 gold coins if you can wipe them out. Does this sound like a fair deal?"

"Anything is a good deal, Father Dominic. Just tell me where they are." Henri grins. What a steal.

"Excellent Henri, excellent. I have the utmost faith in your abilities."
The priest pulls out map, and points to a place called "Cañón de la Violación"
"This is where the cult is located. God speed."

"What's the fastest route there?" Henri inquires, looking over the map and analyzing it. "You want the whole cult gone or just a certain few?"

The priest points to a road on the map leading from San Sulva
"The cultists are controlled by their leaders. Kill the leaders, the others shall be released from under their spell and flee. Follow this road, and you should arrive at their hideout in two days time."

"They're as good as dead." Henri walks out of the chapel, and looks to see if there is some sort of carriage service.

You look around town, and eventually spot a stable.

Henri walks towards it. That's going to be a sweet reward, he thought to himself.

The stable is about what you'd expect from this city at this point. Some nice looking horses are up for sale. The stable master seems to be asleep at his chair

Henri walks up to him. "Sir? Sir? I wish to buy a horse from you. What's the price fetching?"

"Oh, alright." The man sits back down "Go point out a horse and I'll tell you how much it'll cost ya."

Henri look over the horses. Most of them didn't stand out to them, except for one. A horse with a chocolate coat. It looked quite pretty, but really, any of them could do the job. Henri pointed. "This brown looking one."

The old man quickly snatches the coins from your hand, then goes to lead the horse to you
"Here's your horse. No refunds." "Sucker..." He mutters
The horse is saddled up and ready for you to mount

"What was that?" Henri said as he mounted it. Come on, can he go one day without being robbed or ripped off?

The horse begins moving and a steady pace. You lead it through the busy streets, and back out onto the road

It isn't long before you figure out why the stable master was so quick to part with the horse. It absolutely refuses to speed up, and you're forced to travel to your destination at a mild pace. You'd probably have been better off walking. Eventually, your horse starts treading on light rock, rather than stone. It seems you're nearly to the canyon the priest directed you too. It's a barren place, devoid of much life. You find the canyon itself the hard way, when your horse refuses to stop and almost walks you both off the ridge.

"No...No...No..!" Henri tries to steer the horse away from the ridge, and if he can't get it to stop, he jumps of it.
