The pale one ventures further down the cavern, past the point where the gems light the way. It gets darker, and darker, until you cannot see anything.
"These eyes of mine see many things." The creature begins "In the thousands of years I was alive before my death, and recent resurrection, I've seen more things then you'd ever believe. In that time, most of it spent underground, I grew quite adept at seeing darkness. The darkness in these caverns, and... the darkness in people." The creature pauses "Oh, but I'm rambling, aren't I? How well can you see in this darkness, apprentice?"

"Good. Your first challenge will be to defeat these stone warriors."
The pale one seals off the cavern on either side with rock, and then summons a small army of stone warriors. Your only glimpse of any of this is seeing the distant light from where you came slowly fade away, but you can quite clearly hear all of it.

I can't see for shit, but I can try. Follow the sounds of one of the rock golems and charge him with my blade, lets see if these weak beasts of stone can defeat the power of my clan!

The rock golems have no emotion, so your battle cry has little effect. Your blade finds it's mark, but not in the way you'd hoped. The tip stabs right through the stone soldier, causing you to smack right into it's rocky body and get your sword stuck.

Kick the golem with my clawed feet and attempt to loosen my sword at the same time; hopefully I can do something damage before the golem strikes right back at me.

I guess my clan was destined to use more then swords. Swing behind me and use my eight arms to deliver much pain upon my enemies

Your arms smash through two golems, but the price is a tremendous amount of pain from having just swung through about five layers of rock.

You ignore the great pain you feel to continue slapping stone with your bare fists. It's effective, but not likely to be more than a Pyyrhic victory in the end

You can hear shuffling, and rocks moving, but not in the same way you did when the stone soldiers attacked you. Stone and dirt on the cavern walls begin to melt away, and small, sparkling gems take their place You can now faintly see everything around you, which really isn't much.
"You have force, but not finesse. How do your hands feel?"

"Exactly." The pale one begins pacing "So much aggression works against you. Swift. Decisive. Strikes. End a fight without risking counter-attack, or risking damage to yourself. All that shouting made your hearing weak. Many of my stone soldiers could have attacked you, but they did not."
