The Avax had little experience dealing with these "Shri" with bony armor and intimidating grasping limbs but they had some knowledge of this human language. Their communications officer ran to their library and was back with knowledge of this language. The Avax sent back their own message 'We can be predator, prey, both or neither," to indicate that they had no wish to fight or run away unless they forced them to. The Avax colored the message in yellow to indicate that they were alert but were not aggressive.
Communication Hiklakchin looked at the display for a moment. These aliens, apparently, knew of the human language, so communication was possible. And just as the Shri were not, at least for now, these aliens would not budge. Hiklakchin considered courses of action. The Raid Cluster was all loaded with the power cells and humans, they could leave now and suffer no losses. These aliens were heavily armed, in fact, and a Specialist communicated that they were, in fact, getting more powerful by the minute. Hiklakchin ordered an active deep scan of the other ships. Several Tunnelers advanced to act as relays for that scan, and they accelerated briefly, stopping about a quarter way between the Shri fleet and the alien fleet. From there, a powerful sensor pulse was routed through them, that scanned the alien ships and found as much about their capabilities as possible. It wasn't much, for sure, but the active scan did reveal that these ships could... morph. Actually shrink unimportant functions down to bolster the size and power of others, giving them great utility. That was something the Shri could use. But with such a disparity between the fleet sizes, the Shri fleet might well lose in a confrontation.
The display also tinted... into some bright color. The interpreter called it "Yellow". Shri eyes were not made for seeing such things. Most "colors" were faint, distant, like some feline species the Shri's eyes were incredibly sensitive to movement, better to spot predators and enemies, but lacked substantial ability to perceive visual cues such as these colors. The message itself, though, was neutral, a generic answer, no admission of weakness nor declaration of strength. Perhaps they were frightened of the Shri. Perhaps they were curious, or perhaps it was something else. Better than the humans, who too often proclaimed themselves predator, yet so easily fell as the Shri's prey. Hiklakchin ordered the drone to speak again, its clicks and clatters translated by the Specialist to respond, "What are your intentions at the Shri's world?"
---
Elsewhere...
Another Raid Cluster, this one called Trak Liklatz, transitioned out of Darkspace in a heavily populated system, which Tunnelers had found earlier. Upon detection, the world had gone into a flurry of activity, and tried messaging the Tunnelers. With no Prime or even Specialist present though, the drones had done as they had been ordered and cataloged the world in their ship's databank, then returned to the nearest Shri world. A Raid Cluster had been dispatched to investigate, and to find out the extent of life on this world. Lurhkikakchin, in his command throne, looked through at the main display to see the world they had discovered. Vibrant, pulsing with life. Human life. Life that Lurhkikakchin had seen those above it rip apart like the weakest drone in a cluster. Perhaps this would be Lurhkikakchin's chance to do the same. The Raid Cluster approached the world, noting the positions of ships. These ships were on the same level as the Shri's ships, yet not as sophisticated with the experience of having been in space so long.
Drones scurried around Lurhkikakchin's legs, and two came up to speak for him. A Specialist was ready with translation software, and the translated signal that had been stored in the Tunneler's databanks had invited them to come closer to the planet, to talk. For what purpose, Lurhkikakchin could not grasp, as he preferred to keep a Prime from a hostile Hive further than Blade's length away. Opening the channel, Lurhkikakchin directed the drones acting as speakers, who clicked and clattered, the vocal language interpreted the message, sent to the nearest human ships. "The Shrichiakchin greet the humans. What do you have to say to us?"

The streets are silent in Slydavia. Everyone is inside their homes, nervous and tense at this discovery of alien beings.
The First Minister sends out another broadcast to the aliens. "Greetings. We are a nation of humans called the Federal Republic of Slydavia. We were celebrating one of our traditions when one of your space ships was detected near our system. I wish for peace, but if it comes to it, our military is on standby, and we are not afraid of war. Again, we take peace above war."
Military Affairs
The entire military is on standby as they wait for orders from the First minister.

[Internal Affairs]
The daily life of Golartha has not really changed. There has not been any recent events that would really stir up the lives of the citizens. Although, the scientists of Golartha have been trying to develop a new and effective fuel source that replenishes itself.
[Space]
The Imperials are scouting the systems surrounding Golartha for any potential dangers. They are roughly 90 light years away from Regar.

The Foraiz Federation is in another frenzy after one of their ships caught onto a broadcast and recognized the human language. After translating, the broadcast became slightly disturbing and a lidar scan showed ships of a similar design to the ones from before. The Foraiz Federation feeling sympathy and worrying about the dangers these ships might pose despite their shoddy craftmanship so they sent 600 of their finest ships. They soon reach the system and planet where these aliens have appeared, they send out a message in the human language "This planet is under our protection".

Decisions Hiklakchin saw the alien's logic. But the Shri did not run, they did not hide. They fought and survived. Those who could not take what they needed were not fit for survival. To fight, they would risk losing everything here, but to flee they risked showing weakness, and losing the planet that belonged to the Shri. A hard decision, that could steer the course of any sort of relations with this alien race. The Shri could bring their full might to bear against them, and win as they always had, but Hiklakchin's life would be forfeit by fighting now. Meanwhile, by opening relationships, Hiklakchin could be responsible for bringing in powerful resources from these aliens, and gain greater favor. And if those resources included the ship technology of these aliens... he would soon reach Overprime. "Shri ships will not attack. Squadron goes with you, Specialists learn. Cluster must leave to deliver to Shri." Was sent through the channel, and it closed. Hiklakchin sent a stream of varied command hormones, some to one of the sub-squadrons and accompanying Tunnelers, which left the formation to accelerate towards the alien ships, their weapons still powered, but not at a full firing charge. The rest of the Cluster turned, and accelerated, soon entering Darkspace with their cargo... and new information.---Slydavia(for the purposes of this sequence, my ships are talking to the First Minister before the Avax ships arrive. FTL might be Faster-Than-Light, but still takes time, and honestly I have no clue how your sensors can detect ships across multiple light years. Even assuming that the Avax are close enough to detect the ships and respond quickly, with a moderately sized fleet, it would take at the very least several minutes for your ships to get there. Also for Rock and Dex, you two have only encountered Raid Clusters so far, so for all you know this is the standard fleet size of the Shri.)
'Tradition'. Meaning repeated activity interspaced by long periods of time, often of a celebratory nature in human cultures. Weakness. Humans celebrated past relics that were irrelevant in the space age. Lurhkikakchin had seen humans before, had observed their weakness. These were as weak as any other, attempting to negotiate for 'peace' so that they could escape the Shri's might, rather than fighting for their survival as a predator species would do. By offering tribute, the humans might survive, and make the Shri stronger. An acceptable arrangement, he supposed. The channel remained open, and Lurhkikakchin directed the drones speaking for him. "We accept human 'peace'. Give ships, resources, human tribute, Shri collect every..." The translator stumbled for a moment as one of the Specialists calculated the differences between Shri Cycles and human months and years. "...Five months, eleven days." Lurhkikakchin waited for a response.
But the wait was interrupted early by a fleet transitioning from FTL. Of a type the Shri, to Lurhkikakchin's knowledge, had never encountered before. And they sent a message, that enraged Lurhkikakchin. An empire the Shri had not encountered, conquering human worlds for themselves. An enemy the Shri must crush, before their threat grew. Lurhkikakchin sent orders, drones scurrying to their stations and Specialists establishing oversight. Raid Cluster Trak Liklatz, surrounded by human ships and now being approached by the new alien ships, formed into a circular formations, the Consumer flagship facing the approaching aliens with four sub-squadrons of several Lurkers and about three times that number of Adapters, while three more sub-squadrons defended each flank, keeping their guns trained on the human ships surrounding them, and one more stood in reserve to contribute fire support where needed, and to supply ships when others went down. Tunnelers filled in gaps and flitted out just ahead of the formation, some leaving it entirely to speed their way towards Darkspace transition, to hurry back to Shri worlds and report the situation so that a more sizable Cluster could arrive. Transmitting onto the same open channel the aliens had used, Lurhkikakchin's drones and software translated, "World has submitted to Shri. Leave or die."

Internal Affairs The first Minister did not like this. He knew Slydavia was not going to like this. "I am afraid I, my nation, can't accept this. I am resorting to war." The first Minister sends the signal to open fire on any Shri ships, when suddenly, the listening post detected another fleet. He sent out a broadcast signal to that fleet.. "If you aren't the extraterrestials that are going to lay waste to our planet, we need your help. The origin of this broadcast will provide the location to coordinate diplomacy." Military Affairs The whole military has turned to code red. It begins to storm lightly, as roadblocks and tanks line the streets in every province. Ships prepare anti aircraft defenses. The air force has sent planes into the air. Space The one ship in space quickly retreats. (By the way, the thirty some ships I had in orbit were recalled the moment you arrived. Also, there's going to be a really bad storm.)

The Troubles, an Introduction
The Senatorial Chambers in Spectrum, Frostaria, Arrakis System. The Senatorial elections created a deeper rift between the parties. The Yuuzhan Vong, headed by Solomon Karliah, became more and more militant and bitter over the Primary election as the year went on- to the point that Solomon made numerous attempts to legalize a party militia for the YV. The Ferrum representative continuously put these attempts down, all the while focusing resources on reconstruction and rehabilitation. Under President Arrhen Paolo, much of the Republic's infrastructure was rebuilt, and a functioning state came to be, albeit a shaky one. Unrest did not cease, however, as much of the population of the Republic was split down the middle, some believing in the expansionist rhetoric of the Yuuzhan Vong and others in the domestic rehabilitation strategies of the Ferrum coalition.
The coalition, however, was hardly more than a group of dissident parties which disliked the YV more than they disliked one another. Peacekeeping was all that kept them together, and Karliah knew this. The militia he'd been pushing for was, of course, already constructed. All he needed were ships. For these, he outsourced the production of his fleet until he could found a private base on his Governed world of Zheri-I. The fleet came to be within two months, an impressive array of four dreadnoughts, twelve battleships, forty-eight frigates and six Alric-class carriers, in addition to numerous other vessels. If he could not push the Senate to war, Karliah would force them into one. He knew this would weaken the coalition as they scrambled to reach a unanimous decision.
So, with this fleet, Karliah moved (with the private support of most noteworthy Yuuzhan Vong members) and blockaded the spaceport moon of Yah-veen, in Frostaria's Outer Orbit. Solomon himself remained on Frostaria, hiring an elderly war veteran from his planet by the name of Ulysses Ol-rey Hoffset to lead the fleet and be his mask. The General's sudden appearance rocked the entirety of the Senate and the Republic at large.
((Continuing tomorrow.))

vammy, denied because it seems like there are a lot of mistakes in your CS. Your stats contradict each other and are OP (97 wealth but that high of poverty?) in addition to your seemingly lack of interest in fleshing out your military part of the CS. I'll accept tommorow if you fix these things. I will post tomorrow, sorry I couldn't today.

Conglomerate space
Reconstruction of the Karosh sector is proceeding on schedule though not without hitches. With the mass demobilization of billions of soldiers and hundreds of fleets, the remaining navy forces are stretched thin quelling small scale insurrections and widespread protests against the new government in the most recently conquered territories. Of course this is nothing the High Priests haven't dealt with before, and one by one these poorly coordinated revolts are stamped out and the rebel organizations dismantled.
Meanwhile, tensions are rising in the previously peaceful subsector of the Asren. Their region of space had been largely ignored thanks to their willing and peaceful integration into the Conglomerate nearly four decades ago and subsequent embracing of the state religion. However, their only condition had been that no foreigner step foot on their homeworld of Syhelia. Forty years ago when the Ro'shani had been embroiled in total war that had been a perfectly acceptable trade off. Now as part of the Conglomerate it seems nothing is off limits, after two years of dodging out of a survey of Syhelia the Asren council simply flat out refused the related High Priests by citing it as a sacred ground. This was of course high treason and a Conglomerate fleet was dispatched to forcibly survey Syhelia. They were met in a standoff by an equally large Asren Armada with the twin Titans of Antorak and Rankulas leading the gargantuan fleet. For now threats are exchanged and negotiations are tried and failed as the High Priests gather a large enough force to topple the Asren Armada defending Syhelia for daring to proclaim it as sacred ground.
In another turn of events the secret Sentinel program, a hundred year old project, now highly illegal by Conglomerate law, that brainwashed and genetically modified young Ro'shani to serve as highly effective military operatives or leaders is being drastically cut down. After its massive success in breeding literally millions of skilled captains, engineers, spies, diplomats, politicians and soldiers the Conglomerate no longer has use for all of them. They cannot be reintegrated into society having never been adapted to it in the first place, indeed many of them are dispassionate killers, and they represent a valuable pool of war time skills. The solution therefore, is to freeze the majority in cryopods for when they are needed while a fraction of their contingent helps to preserve the Conglomerate now.

@vam, Alright, but regardless, the stats are still way too high. Lower the wealth to at least somewhere in the low 80s or high 70s, and maybe poverty anywhere you like. Just keep in mind that even though you can be wealthy without your people having that wealth, it's highly unusual and rare (ex: a dictator wouldn't have several quadrillions of dollars even though he theoretically could.)

---
Raid Cluster Trak Liklatz was trapped between aliens coming from space and now hostile humans on the ground. The alien ships would overpower them, and the Shri could not maneuver with the world at their backs bristling with weapons should the Shri attempt to invade and take it over. So they did what they could: they formed into a defensive formation, a moving spiral that allowed for the maximum firepower to be unleashed on the approaching enemy ships, moving in a way that confused humans and more often than not caused them to miss a majority of their shots against Shri ships, unable to aim at the ever-moving pattern. The Shri were perfectly accustomed to it, easily able to follow masses of drones as they swarmed on and over each other in their rush to get to a target, but humans would lose sight of the drones and begin to think of it as a whole mass rather than split parts. In some ways, it was. Here, the Shri worked together effortlessly, under the command of Lurhkikakchin to create a death trap for the alien ships coming at them. If needed, the formation could fold inwards, pushing up and out to keep firepower without being pushed back into the planet by enemy fire. The Shri would not fear. They would win, or die.
The Tunnelers, were a different story. They went in all different directions, some being targeted and destroyed by the alien ships and some being blasted out of the sky by the humans. A few slingshotted around the planet, using their small size and the planet's gravity to stay out of range of both hostile fleets, and some just dodged and weaved in small masses, a precious few escaping the carnage. All those Tunnelers that did escape and entered into a state where they could transition, did so, entering Darkspace to travel back to Shri space where they could get any Clusters available to send out. It would take time, but the Raid Cluster could hold out. It would hold out.
The Shri's plasma weapons opened up for long-range fire on the alien ships, the formation turning as a whole to send these aliens straight down the gauntlet, starting the battle. A battle that might well turn into a war, should certain other events transpire. One Shri group was with the aliens, preparing to open more or less peaceful relations, while the other started conflict.
(such drama, shri conflict of interests.)

Internal Affairs The battle of Slydavia has begun. As soon as the ships rained down from the sky, you could hear flak cannons blast no matter which province you were on. Military Affairs The first Minister meets with the secretaries of the military. They coordinate actions and relay them to commanders on the field. The first Minister rerouted his broadcast to the head Avax ship. Space No spaceships have been sent. The shri aren't invading fool they don't even have invasion equipment or ships with them it's a Raid Cluster

They're in space somewhat close to Slydavia, but they're not in the atmosphere m8. They're nowhere near the atmosphere m8, but they're close enough so that they can't maneuver too far out without being shot by Dex's fleet or running into ur atmosphere.

On a whole, the Shri ships were about the same size as the Avax ships, but were many fewer and less heavily armed. They accelerated forward, leaving the world behind them, and formed up with the Avax ships, awaiting some sort of coordinates that they could follow, to go with these aliens to... wherever they would go.The Foraiz Federation at Peace
The Avax sent them the coordinates to this world. They soon jumped out of FTL with ships near the world Clorox, a rather peaceful colony. "The military I presume? What have you brought here?" the vibrations sent to the command ship from the colony's administration and they replied "We have brought these 'Shri' with us to engage in learning." They soon got the necessary authorization to land with the Shri although with some reluctance from the administration. They would ask the Shri many questions with the hopes that they might find an ally in space. (Let's hope there is major miscommunication between the tunnelers and the hive!)
The Foraiz Federation at War
As the Shri ships begin to spiral, a new avenue for destruction had opened. They couldn't exactly hit them with accuracy so the command ship over a private channel commanded 100 ships to charge their lasers and told them to have a constant beam at their mark. They couldn't hit it with a short laser blast but the constantly moving spiral while fast didn't anticipate a constant laser strike. The energy consumption of a short blast is minimal but a constant blast would be very energy-expensive, the Shri ships however would move into the beam for at least 5 seconds and that was long enough to destroy at the Shri's speed a lot of ships. The hundred ships were waiting for the order to fire their continuous beams at various parts of the spiral and the order came.
The lasers shot out.
(You thought you cornered me but in reality, I cornered you.)

@vam, accepted.
[Outer Rim of the Milky Way, Phyrexian un-colonized space]
Several thousands light years away from the Phyrexian capital a civilian craft lands on the planet of Jutalia. The wintry, unforgiving terrain chaffed against the craft's cold metal as it entered, not letting up the eternal blizzard that seized the world. The men on board were seemingly unremarkable - another government-funded scientific expedition, as from the looks of it. However, what was not clear about the men and their intentions was that they were not government funded, and certainly not unremarkable. The thermic energy revolution had come upon New Phyrexia, acting as a catalyst for when the engineers would eventually leave for Jutalia's surface.
On the ground Jutalia was a fairly harsh, difficult planet. Hard, thick ice blanketed almost all of the planet, shadowing Jutalia's deep and dark ocean that had once provided rich amounts of ubiquitous life for the planet. For unknown reasons Jutalia eventually entered its ice age, being trapped in a perpetual, desolate state. Millions of years later a human scanning ship had uncovered the planet, and from then on the planet was disregarded as a place of little worth or value to any owners.
That, however, has changed.
[Phyrexia]
Some within the outer councils discuss possible further relations with other primarily human interstellar empires, but others are on edge. For the last 600 years relations with other organizations and states have been very rare and brief, but some revolutionaries suggest that New Phyrexia is suffering greatly from their isolationism. Protests occur in Phyrexia Prime, which brings a sufficient amount of publicity to the revolutionary movement that the organization gains even more steam.
Some designs have been proposed to form a "hover tank." The tank would be far less inhibited by natural terrain planetside, but gravitational manipulation technology is still a very unexplored, new branch of science. For now the military continues to decommission even more land vehicles, mostly due to the lack of the ground army's relevance in modern-day warfare. In this day and time naval warfare is far more sophisticated and advantageous, leaving ground military technology at a sort of dead-end for the last few centuries.

The Troubles: Part One The Battle of Yah-veenThe IDB Home Fleet engages Hoffset's militia fleet over the lunar spaceport of Yah-veen.
Hoffset's appearance was met with shock and alarm, though he claimed to represent the interests of the "people," specifically those who felt disenfranchised by the Ferrum coalition.
"To those in the Senate-
The People made themselves clear when they elected a Yuuzhan Vong majority. We, the People of the Republic, did not all see fit the ideals of the Ferrum, nor their representative who dares to bear the name Sparrow, once a proud dynastic title from the single man who founded this Republic. If we can not trust the Republic to represent the ideals of the Demos, which were more in favor of a Yuuzhan-Laborum coalition, then we can no longer entrust the Republic with the governance of said Demos. The working class can not be enslaved to the whims of the Ferrum Party, working endlessly to rebuild with the shambles of Terra rather than taking back what is rightfully theirs.
Therefore, until such time as the Ferrum Presidency steps down and allows a recount of the Primary votes, we the People of the Yuuzhan Vong will disrupt the Ferrum capital, which is centralized here in Yah-veen. Without this spaceport, your dictatorship will suffer, and the YV will force its prosperity as the Ferrum have forced our hand."
With this, there was a great dilemma. There was no Grand Army of the Republic anymore. Now, only a defensive force remained, and very little of it sat in the Home System of Arrakis. Additionally, Yah-veen was, for Ferrum-controlled space, an important center of trade. Quickly inflation set in, and the entire Republic saw the effects of the YV blockade of Yah-veen. It soon became apparent, even to the Senate, that action was necessary.
Though the YV had been aware of the militia, most representatives were appalled, and some even cooperated in later investigations by Arrhen Sparrow. But even with this negative reaction, getting past the more far-leftist capitulators who wished to concede and vote again would be difficult. At this point, several Ferrum and Fraterni politicians pulled numerous strings in summoning help from the Federal military, the Interplanetary Defense Brigade. As debate continued for a month in the Senate, a secret alliance known as the Alliance to Protect the Republic was formed, and numerous military leaders joined. A fleet was constructed through piecemeal efforts, and the Alliance Fleet was ready one week before the Senate Referendum.
The General, though he'd set up a defensive perimeter, had not foreseen such a quick military response, and so the IDB's sudden appearance at Yah-veen caught the ill-prepared insurrectionists with their pants down. Within an hour, the ensuing battle had resulted in the destruction with one-third of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet. Retaliation, however, eventually came as the General used special fighters to puncture the hulls of several IDB vessels and infiltrate them with boarding parties- resulting in brutal on-board fighting. The distraction was enough for Hoffset's fleet to seize the advantage and obliterate two dreadnoughts entirely- a devastating loss.
But the fight had not yet been lost by the IDB. The General's fleet was a patchwork of various ships from outsourced manufacturers, its technology inferior. Once the boarding parties were eliminated, the IDB returned to the offensive, resulting in Ingrel's Pincer (named after the IDB Admiral commanding the Alliance Fleet, Haren Ingrel), a move in which four IDB dreadnoughts flanked the Insurrection's main body while a squadron of frigates and fighters formed a beachhead in the center, this possible due to the IDB's characteristic response speed catching Hoffset off-guard. The resultant destruction of the front line forced the General's hand- a full retreat was called, with all ships that could escape fleeing through hyperspace, others evacuating their vessels in escape pods to the moon below.

----The Republic----
The Vepini is a grand people, hosting great ceremonies surrounded by gold and silver but as of late things just haven't been the same. We have been reduced to our capital of Capua and we're running out of FTL ships as we speak, something must change. Perhaps our neighbors are the answer, who controls the armies control the whole Milky Way. Of course the Hive their army is the largest in the system! In exchange for a little wealth they could allow us to expand to other worlds. Let's send them a short letter.
" Dear Great Hive, we the Vepini of the Capua Republic want to wish you a good day and suggest a proposal. What if in in exchange for 10% of our taxes, you protect us in a essence we will swear featly to your empire."
Hopefully they get it in time.
Aside from that we must begin production of the ships, while FTL travel is fleeting small corvettes are not. Let's have a quick vote and begin the process of building eight corvettes so we can start trading with our other neighbors.
In fact let's just send a trade request to them all.
My people are unhappy but the rulers are, so screw them.

Meanwhile Dex and I have each pushed out two fleets of 600 and 372 ships respectively.
