I hate anxiety.
It ruins a lot of things for me.
Like, say if my friends wanted to go to this to see this film.
At first I'd be saying Oh, that sounds cool!.
But then, my anxiety kicks in and I start thinking of all the things that could go badly.
I could fall ill.
I could hurt myself.
Or, I could be stared at by some "cool" people and laughed at.
It does ruin my experience of life.
I have had some counselling, and it does help for a while, but eventually my anxiety returns.
It's especially bad in the winter, when the norovirus makes it's rounds.
So my question is, do any of you suffer from anxiety and, if so, how do you deal with it?

I've dealt with an anxiety disorder for most of my life Shit's not fun The best way to deal with anxiety is to just power through Life sucks, and life sucks regardless of how paranoid and anxious you are So just ignore it, keep a sense of humor about everything, and keep going

You guys are such introverts. Well, I used to be an introvert, too. Back in elementary school, I played ROBLOX and thought it was cringy as fuck. Then I was playing it one day because we got laptops in our classroom and a lot of other shitters stood around me and wanted to play. I gave them the website address, and they got hooked. Ever since then I've been a grand fucking extrovert. When I went to middle school for my 6th-grade year, I let it all fucking loose. Not many people liked me in 6th-grade, but I adjusted, and I was like a lot better in 7th-grade, even managing a 7-month relationship with a Latina girl (who turned out that she was flirting with other guys during our union). Now it's 8th-grade year, and everything's going fine. I'm still known as a fucking crazy retard, but that's not much. The Internet gave me thick skin after a while.
In the end, you'll probably still think I'm a complete fucking maniac, but the point is. Take risks. I don't have anxiety, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt because I know as much about be anxious than licking cow patties back at the farm.

I've only had bad anxiety around people I admire or punishment so there have only been 2 times I've been very anxious. The first for when I was getting banned from a server I liked and the other was an artist I admired.

The first trick in dealing with anxiety is recognizing that everything that happens to you is meaningless. If you get injured you'll heal and if you make a fool of yourself it'll be in front of people you'll never see again in your adult life once you go to college and enter the workforce. After that you should generally just stop giving fucks.

Tim, you said something smart. Congrats. I'm extraordinarily nihilistic. Nihilism was made by a diseased man who tried to make sense of why everything was happening to him in his life. Tim stop being an edgy 16 year old and realize that believing nihilism is the equivalent of believing in a schizophrenic's delusions. Just be happy that you got a pretty good world to live on, you've got a community and you've got friends here.

You are aware that I'm the type of madman who wears tinfoil hats so that the government can't track me via delta waves emitted by my brain, right? I mean, I don't actually do that because that's bullshit pseudoscience, but I am a bit mad myself according to the doctors. Also, I'm not edgy (assuming I understand the term correctly). I'm a nihilist, but I'm more in the category of "nothing matters, why not fuck around and screw things up?" than "nothing matters, might as well end it all".
