You take off your right boot and sock to see- or feel, rather- the damage done. Your fingers run across your foot as you try to imagine what it looks like. Your toenails were recently clipped, but your big toe ended up getting a chip anyways. Tender skin is underneath the hanging segment of toenail. It doesn't seem to have blood.
