And, if none of these intrigue you, we have the locations of territory, enclaves open for the taking, as well as... oddities, scattered across the ocean.

"Longer lasting things could include, say, a non-aggression pact, certainly, regular trade of our resources for yours, regular correspondence between our nations to help each other with incidents and artifacts, including the oddities I mentioned, and anything else you think would be of benefit to us both."

you'd think you'd investigate to see if i actually had the means to mind control

and also, you cant be meta gaming, and the overworld would believe we'd mind control the shadow king as they already have demonized us to a massive extent, and find us to be nothing more than revenge fueled beings.

Not metagaming. The hovertanks didn't get the notice, for one, and it's hard to believe the demons would just mind control someone, then tell the Dominion that they were doing it when they were defeated. Even without knowing whether you had or not, I would be suspicious.
