Well, typically RPG's are the most common genre to have this feature, and really anything by Bethesda or Bioware is a sure-win in my book. Buuuut, I would say go for Dragon's Dogma; the player creation for that actually impacts your gameplay (such as fatter characters running slower, but being able to carry more. ect. ect.) and you even get to customize two characters; Your's and your partner's. Then you can hire two more temporary partners, which are in themselves, creations of other players.

Another thing I'll add for Dragon's Dogma is that, upon release, Capcom sold it new for $40 rather than tne standard $60. As well as a re-release a year later that included a free addon and the whole standard game, for $40. So now, it's probably down in the $30 or maybe even $20 range new without being more than a couple years old.

Saint's Row II, The Third, and IV are lots of fun with plenty of customization. I was a fat British pimp on a purple scooter with a shotgun cane.
Dragon's Dogma, however, is just the best. Very extensive character customization (I once played as a 10 year old with a greatsword and banged the queen) and pimping the mentally subnormal. Climbing dragons and ogres to hack off their vital organs is fun as well. A great game all around.

Slactivist... Your character is the luckiest little kid I've ever heard of.

I was going for the captain of the guard, though. I do in every Playthrough, but I usually end up with the queen, Aelinore, anyways because I'm to lazy to get the instant love ring or bribe her with enough wine gifts.

I remember I had almost exact look-a-likes for Sam and Frodo as my hired helpers at one point, even named such. I also had Captain Picard and Spock with me at times.

To be honest I've never played DD. Any online stores selling? If you find it, be sure to grab the one entitled "Dark Arisen" It's the same game, same cost, comes with a few bonuses (Helpful teleport stones; Travel without them is a biiiiiiitch) and a decent sized expansion.

Dark Arisen's actual expansion is hard as fuck, though. Be warned.

Heheh... Reminds me of when I tried the Old World Blues expansion on New Vegas at level twelve... And I play unarmed. xD
On the bright side, I gotta saturnite fist before I gave up.

Oh god, yes, it is a nightmare there. I think within my first five or ten minutes in the expansion, the Grim Reaper decided to show up, stab one of my pawns with his scythe and disappear. That pawn was dead until I was able to get back to a revive port, usually in towns.

I've only ever beaten Honest Hearts, Operation: Anchorage, and Lonesome Road. And Hearthfire for Skyrim, if you count building all of Lakeview Manor (the only good house) as beating it. I liked Hearthfire a lot, actually. Those are the only DLC's I've ever finished, and I beat them all on Easy. I'm not good at Bethesda games.
